In 1983, North Coast pioneered the idea of total immersion by being the first company in California to establish an onsite sheltered workshop. HOPE members along with job coaches work side-by-side with company employees on a daily basis. Today, North Coast continues to be a training facility and is home to several individuals who have been hired as full time North Coast employees.
