I was close to Lincoln Tunnel at 2:00 pm. So I thought to catch Dhohr prayer. Found the place on google and went for the first time. It is a school at third floor while the mosque is at the 2nd floor while management and a basketball court at the first floor or at least that is what I noticed. Two free parking lots. May Allah bless whoever bought the property and managing the place. Streets are very narrow. Many mothers were waiting for their kids to finish the school. I entered from the large door where the basketball court, so I had to ask someone how would I get to the mosque. But if I entered from the tiny mosque’s door I would just simply go all the way up to the 2nd floor to pray without going through the basketball court. Alhamdulilah
As salamu alikum Beautiful masjid ma shaa Allah May Allah reward those who as donated and maintaining it ,as you enter from main door Wudu are is to the left and prayer area is on the 2nd floor and it has parking too
This mosque has had its door open to the whole community for over 30 years. You've heard that right. Thirty Years. From having a private school on their premises to being open for the five prayers, 7 days a week, to having an election and voting process for leadership in the mosque, to presenting to the community a very clear sheet of donations and expenses, constantly. To have a regular youth program that accommodates the youth of the community, through physical sports activities, field trips, mental health, etc...Programs regularly they have a proven track record. Many blessings to all of those planning, participating and directing the facilitation of daily procedures.
There is an old Moroccan lady who steals your food and bags here. I don’t like to attend anymore. Staff went downhill. I can’t take the fake Islamic sermons from fake faces.
It's a nice a masjid. Nothing really spectacular about it. It was clean and the carpet was a pretty color. I wear niqab so I rather the woman and men have separate praying areas. Here it is one big room that everyone prays in, so just a heads up to sister who enjoys the woman's space. Parking is better now bc they have a parking lot across the street to park in.
I left more anxious than I came. I was looking for a calming experience to ease my heart, but i didn't find it here. The imam sounded very angry and upset. He had a good message but the delivery felt like he was yelling at us scolding everone. Did not inspire. If you're looking for a peaceful place to connect & get closer to Allah s.w.a I don't think you'll find it here.
Calm and peaceful. Helpful and kind staff scholars Sheikhs and Imams. Fridays from 11:00am to 3:00pm Juma'a Friday prayers are packed and lively. Sometimes there are so many people they pray on the steps. Do not be afraid to come visit for knowledge and/or peace.
This place is the place you really want to go!!! The people the ambiance and the Imams are very kind generous and helpful. Also Ramadan is the best time to go as they have Taraweeh and in the last 10 nights Qiyaam UL Layl led by Sheikh Hassan Saleh, followed by Suhoor which is something you will love to have and regret it if you miss it.
Been to Umrah trip with the masjid for the first time in my life, 2/2019, have to say the most wonderful experience. The trip was well planned, our hotels were so close to both almasjid alnabawi, and Kaaba stayed in movinbek , Shaikh Mousa was great as usual. Thanks to the masjid, the travel agency, and the board the trip was flawless alhamdulilah
