The North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Department provides a variety of services, programs, events, and facilities to the citizens and visitors of the North Myrtle Beach area.
The Parks and Recreation Division sponsors a wide range of activities, sports, facilities, special events, and festivals. The activities include year-round instructional classes for all ages in areas such as fitness, art, dance, crafts, and some sports. Examples of special city-wide events and festivals include the Summer Concert Series, annual Easter Egg Hunt, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. Sports offered range from flag football to soccer and tennis.
Recreation facilities located at the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center include two gymnasiums, an aerobics/dance room, and 6 classrooms. Outdoor facilities are located throughout the city.
