The North Smithfield Manor Greenleaf Heights Community held a meeting to discuss the need for fire protection.
On July 31, 1979, Judge O. H. Florence of Jefferson County Alabama signed into place the North Smithfield Manor Greenleaf Heights Volunteer Fire Department abd Board. The community members made a commitment to pay for quality firefighting equipment.
Members of the newly formed fire department immediately went to work purchasing equipment and training. A tradition that continues to this day.
We are committed to providing abetter quality of service for our neighborhood.
