The North St. Paul Police Department serves the citizens of North St. Paul and all those visiting our city. The North St. Paul Police Department has eighteen sworn officers, dedicated to serve and protect.
The North St. Paul Police Department is dedicated to the community. We offer many community oriented programs. Every August we participate in Nation Night Out. This event is a great opportunity for the communities to come together and meet with Officers. Last year we had 13 block parties celebrating throughout the city. We are looking forward to having more parties next year!
The Neighborhood Watch Program joins officers and community members together by deterring crime and making the city a safer place to live. Community members are designated as the “eyes and ears” for the department.
Crime Free-Multi Housing keeps apartment managers involved in police activity in their complexes. Managers are given monthly reports from the department on any calls for service or complaints. Complexes in Crime Free-Multi Housing have the ability evict problem tenants who have excessive police reports.
Reserve Officers assist officers throughout the city. Reserves conduct house checks each shift along with checking the parks, schools, churches and local businesses. Reserve Officers participate is other local events such as the Friday Night Car Shows, Ice Cream Socials, National Night Out and other community events with officers. Reserve officers are trained in defensive tactics, aerosol spray, radio use, patrol tactics, and traffic direction. On any given shift Reserve Officers may assist licensed officers in prisoner transports, traffic control, crime scene security, park patrol, assisting motorists and assisting other agencies.
