North Texas Movement Disorders Institute Inc, was founded in 2010. The primary objective is to service our community in DFW metroplex.
Movement disorders are conditions that are relatively rare. At this time we have over 1.5 million people throughout USA that have Parkinson's disease. Movement disorders are classified into hyperkinetic disorders (excessive movement) and hypokinetic disorders (lack of movement). Hyperkinetic movement disorders include Tremor, dystonia, tourette syndrome, Huntington's disease, Ataxia, Tardive dyskinesia, Restless legs syndrome and others., Hypokinetic movement disorders include Parkinson's disease, Corticobasal degeneration, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Multiple System atrophy, and others. I am a movement disorders specialist, my mission is to spread education to all through this page and post latest updates and trends in technology in our field.
