This is the official page of the North Union Township Volunteer Fire Department, located in Lemont Furnace, PA.
In 1961 a group of civic minded men took it upon themselves to organize a fire department for North Union Township, which at the time was a growing and still is moving ahead, new homes, factories and population in dire need of fire protection. This group of men thinking of the future of the North Union Township and its people enlisted the aid of other men to join the department and with the help of the citizens of North Union Township have made this department a success.
The mission statement of the North Union Township Volunteer Fire Department is to preserve life and property from the ravages of fire, natural disaster and life threatening situations throughout North Union Township. We will accomplish this mission through fire prevention, fire suppression, professional training and the mutual aid of our surrounding fire department`s.
