Northern California Interagency Support Cache (North Zone) strives to support all emergency incidents regardless of agency association, type of emergency or location. Our role continues to evolve into an all-hazard, all-use incident support cache. Our primary mission is wildland fire suppression in the Northern California Geographic Area, Hawaii, and to other geographic areas as requested.
North Zone Fire Cache is one of 11 National Interagency Support Caches (NISC) in the United States, and has a base inventory of approximately 3,500 different items at a value of $9 million. If it is needed for fighting wildland fire we probably have it or can get it quickly through partnerships with GSA, DLA and other vendors.
