Well maintained and clean station. Friendly staff and nice facilities. Located at the prime location in Northampton. There's parking facility behind the station. Recently I have read that there are plans to expand car-park to accommodate more cars.
Modern railway station conveniently located for Northampton shopping and entertainment. I would expect more facilities for a station serving such a large town but nice to see an independent coffee house on the ground floor. Plenty of parking space. Be warned there is a very limited taxi service from the station taxi rank during morning rush hour so best to book a taxi in advance.
Pointless bunch of idiots, pay a stupid amount to park there only to have vehicle damaged by the morons maintaining the hedges. Get back to my car to discover the hedge that was 10cm away has been cut away and let splatted over that back of my car with multiple paint chips now across the bump and boot.
Northampton Station, still known to locals as Castle Station, is much improved compared to a few years ago. It is brighter, cleaner, and safer than it used to be, and there is a much bigger car park. The Magic Bean Emporium coffee shop has opened downstairs, and there is a WHSmith upstairs, and another coffee shop run by a company with a mermaid logo.
It’s modern and clean, such a shame it’s barely got any plugs and and most of them are off and you can’t just turn them on, also toilets being closed at 10 until 6am??
It's a good railway station, but i couldn't find any useful information about parking ,so i took some pics for helping you guys. Sorry not the best quality, but i think still good for us.
Great station, modern and airy, was kind of jealous to be honest as my local station hasn't been updated in a while!!
*TANNOY OPERATOR / STAFF CAUGHT LYING TO PUBLIC** Recently stranded at Northampton on train to London Euston. Was told to leave train by Northampton tannoy operator and wait further announcements. Next train arrives an hour later and tannoy operator says “do not enter this train as it WILL NOT be departing”. We trust his instructions and then are told to “stand behind the yellow line”. The train then departs and the hundreds of people waiting on the platform are left furious. The tannoy operator and staff at the station resorted to LYING TO THE PEOPLE. Despite best intentions, this is not acceptable.
Nice station! It is modern and easy to reach station.
very clean and nice sttaion brand new about 10 years ago , having good connection to MK and capital and Birmingham worth the night action on freight always be safe at night aswell.
