The Northeast Lakeside Fire Department is a 25 member paid-per-call fire department with 1 Ladder, 2 Engines, 1 Light Rescue, 2 Tankers and 1 Brush Truck running out of 2 stations, Station 1 located off Highway 62 East and station 2 located off of Buzzard Roost, responding to but not limited to structure and commercial fires, brush fires, alarms, motor vehicle crashes, boat fires, water rescue and more. The departments also runs Emergency Medical calls.
The department is also automatic aid for Gamaliel Volunteer Fire Department, Henderson Volunteer Fire Department, Handcove Volunteer Fire Department and is mutual aid for Mountain Home Fire Department.
The Northeast Lakeside Fire Department exists to enhance the quality of life in its district by minimizing the devastating effects of fire, medical emergencies, and natural and artificial disasters.
