I know Dr.Brief over 25 years, as a former client of mine, and as his patient.  Have been seeing Dr. Gotesman for over 7 years.  Doctors are great.  The other office staff that has helped with my workman's comp and scheduling surgery have been great.  Recently the office phone number doesn't work.  I can call any other office but not Orangeburg, where I see doctor Gotesman.  I was informed I had to press the extensions of whom I wished to speak with.      During the last month, I have received two calls after 430, while the office is open until 5pm, and they put the phones on service, 30 mins before they are closed, and I can't even call back the missed call that called me after 430.  My phone numbers do not go to the doctors service or to the doctor on call.  I cannot call if I wanted to call to make an appointment not related to workman's compensation.  I drive over 80 mins to see see the doctor and going to the office to make an appointment really isn't an option.  I hope things change soon, this practice is full of great people and doctors.

Came for an appointment for my Son..arrived 30 minutes early, waited an hour with no sign of being seen.  Told the secretary I was leaving, could not wait any longer and her response was that’s fine with an attitude and not a care in the world. Sick and tired of these doctor offices double booking appointments. Dr. Gaines maybe you should give your staff some customer service pointers

I have been seeing Dr Evan Gaines for about 8 years. He has performed surgery on me and I trust him with my life. He is the most caring person, and in my opinion, the best orthopedic surgeon I have ever had.  He takes his time and explains everything to his patients.  He has never given me the wrong advice.

I was impressed with the office I visited.  It was welcoming, clean and tidy, and I was greeted as soon as I entered.  The staff was well trained and answered all my questions and moved me rapidly to be able to see the doctor. In short order, I was seen by Dr. Paul Brief who was knowledgeable, caring, and took time to carefully listen to my medical needs. He put me at ease and examined my area of concern, carefully noting and explaining his findings. A clear and prompt plan was discussed and implemented to deal with my needs and bring relief and closure to my medical issue.  Dr. Brief set up a follow up visit to monitor and address any issue that I might have.  With pleasure, I award Dr. Brief and his team a well deserved five star rating.

My time with Dr Gotesman is always productive and with focus maintained where I want it.  He strives to get me informed so I can make decisions with him. It's as good as it gets!

I have been a patient of Dr Paul Brief for several years. I have found his office to be friendly and courteous and efficient. The office is clean and comfortable at all times. The staff always make me feel calm and at ease. The icing on the cake is Dr Brief who is a brilliant and compassionate physician who has helped me greatly with all of  my orthopedic issues. Over the past 20 years, I have been diagnosed and treated by Dr. Paul Brief for various injuries with consistently positive outcomes.  His surgical expertise is excellent and his manner is cheerful, kind and compassionate. He has always treated me with respect and takes the time to explain why certain procedures are effective , and answers in detail any questions I may have. Additionally, Dr. Brief has presented me with effective, conservative options that are alternatives to surgery. My experIence as a patient has been outstanding and I have recommended him and his office to many friends and colleagues.

Choosing Dr. Paul Brief and his staff at Northeast Orthopedics was an excellent decision. I recently saw Dr. Brief for a pain in my shoulder that had been bothering me for months. I had been to several orthopedists, but no one could figure out what to do for my shoulder except "take Advil." I decided to get another opinion.  When I first walked in,  I was relieved to see a clean, professional office with a friendly staff. After filling out the standard forms, I was immediately taken into a patient room. Dr. Brief listened to my entire history before doing a thorough evaluation. We discussed a few options, evaluating the pros and cons of each. I had PLENTY of questions and Dr. Brief took the time to address all of my concerns.  Ultimately, I underwent one of the treatments we discussed, and I've been five months pain-free on zero medications. A great thank you to Dr. Brief and his staff!

Dr Gaines is amazing he fixed my elbow when I had a fall, He explains everything to you and makes you feel comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the office staff at that location is nasty and very unfriendly. The one lady at the desk looks like she doesn’t want to be there. 5 stars given for the doctor not the staff

I have been treated by Dr. Brief over many years for different ailments. I have found him to be knowledgeable and very personable with a friendly and efficient manner. I especially like that Dr. Brief explains everything in laymen's terms and spends the time answering questions. I never feel rushed. My husband Steve has been seeing Dr. Brief longer than I and he recommended Dr. Brief to me.  I am so glad that he did. We have never had to wait long in the reception area or exam room. We highly recommend Dr. Brief and Northeast Orthopedics &  Sports Medicine in Orangeburg.
