Nice little spot for toddlers and bigger kids. Picnic tables and a basketball court are a nice touch. Parking can be a little iffy as it's located on a curve but definitely a fun place to take the kids for a quick something to do.
Nice quiet park with shade but there is no parking except on the street. The park is located on the curve of the street so you have to park and walk a bit of a distance to get to the park. As I recall there are no sidewalk which is not very safe especially with young kids.
Great smaller neighborhood park- stream, play structures for older and younger kids, baby swings and big kid swings, full basketball court, short paved though on a hill path for scooting, skating, etc. Paths to other neighborhoods, one through the woods and one partially paved with stairs. Some parking available on the street.
Northeast park is about a half mile from my apartment, and as far as I can tell is the closest recreational park to us. It's not always easy to tell, because Cville Parks and Rec has lots of smaller venues and parks, hidden gems that reveal themselves as you turn a corner. North Park is like this. It is common to see parents and toddlers in the 2-5yo playground and picnic tables. It's also pretty common to see both sides of the Basketball court being used by different groups. Lots of walkers, joggers, bikers and drivers stop and visit with dogs and kids and friends. It's a lively space with tall trees and swings to swing. In the corner of the park there is a beautiful tall bridge that connects the park with the residential area behind it. Under the bridge, there is a small stream. The last time I visited I saw a young buck and a foal getting an afternoon drink in the creek under the shadowy relief of the canopy. It's a very nice, if cozy, park.
10 minute walk from our house the kids love this little park the neighborhood is great
Great green spot for dogs behind the playground and basketball court
The playground equipment wasn't clean. I feel like it was out dated. Lots of spiders and mold.
Cute kids park with swings and slides. Lots of bugs.
A small but very nice park for the local neighborhood!
