Northern Maine Community College was established in 1961, and the first class entered the college in 1963. Today, NMCC impacts over 2,000 students annually through various programs.
Located in Skyway Industrial Park, Northern Maine Community College is a fully-accredited two year college offering 29 associated degree and certificate level programs. These programs are designed to enable students to enter the workforce with technically current skills and also to prepare graduates for life-long learning and upward mobility. Programs are offered through the College’s four departments: arts & sciences, business technology, nursing & allied health, and trade & technical occupations. In addition to career programs, the College offers an associate in arts degree in liberal studies, an economical starting point for students who may desire to transfer to a four-year institution. NMCC also offers a wide range of non-credit courses and provides customized training for area business/industry.
