Trained to Save, Dedicated to Serve
Since the creation of the department, the arrangement of a combination fire department has been an interesting challenge. Bloomington Township contracts with the Bloomington Township volunteer Fire Department, Inc. a not-for-profit corporation called the "Association" for the provision of volunteer manpower. The Association also conducts open houses, fundraisers and other projects in support of the mission of the department. The Association averages between 30-50 members. Not all members actively fight fire, but all are involved in various aspects of the department.
