The doctors and nurses I've encountered were very nice and respectful, which was really comforting bc I have bad anxiety. I just wish the hospital webpage was more updated and informative that way people don't have to call around to find out hours and availability. Apparently Yucca opens at 7:30am and only takes 14 walk ins. Other than that u gotta make an appointment. Idk about the other clinics.
Its like the worst VA but for native americans. So if you know you know. Maybe only a few docs on staff care the other half just going through the motions until they get out of there for the day. This place does have a body count.
The hospital doctors & nurses do have great compassion for their patients. Their clinic appointment system has been changed, which is sort of confusing. I think if you want to be seen in the clinic, you can call the Monday before that week. I believe that once you get into the appointment system, then it all goes smoother and quicker. Appreciate all you do to help us, NNMC!!, especially thru this pandemic. Dr. Chris Percy, the bestest doctor at NNMC. Thank You!
Most of the staff is great and act very professional. On the the other hand. SOME of native staff can be rude and unpleasant. Even "lazy" at times.
try making a well child checkup, they tell you to call back on a certain day for that next months appointment. if you miss it or forget your SOL & have to call back another specific day for the next next month appointment. so stupid! some people have to work & request days off ahead of time. SJRMC schedules for months ahead. i dont get the system they have here
The clinic is only allowing 28 people per day to get seen. The receptionists’ leave after they meet the “max” capacity which is 28 people. So if you want to get seen, get there early in the morning to get a spot.
They're cool. When I was going through withdrawals they always hooked me up and didn't judge me they always gave me the Pheno or Ativan so I wouldn't seizure I went through some serious withdrawals and they even flew me to a behavioral hospital that monitored me while I was slowly tapered off the effects of suddenly ceasing my alcohol consumption and even gave info on getting help from a substance abuse professional in their Behavioral department. Thank you NNMC
Having been to several hospitals & clinics on the Navajo Reservation THIS hospital was the BEST! The help they offered, the wait time, the cleanliness, the staff, the separate departments that had ALL doctors meaning they had all doctors you would ever need here if need be. Entirely diverse & love the service provided here. Thank you!
Been using this hospital for year! Some departments are a hit and miss. Had a doctor laugh in my face because I was in pain. But had another one who was completely helpful. Dental, Preferred care and emergency receptionist have the worst employees. The best department is physical therapy!
Google needs to create a way to give zero stars just for places like this. We've been stuck here at the ER with a sick toddler for hours and still nothing even though there have been only 5 people here. Should have just driven 45 minutes to the hospital in Farmington. They have always taken care of my son within 30 minutes even when there are way more people that need to be seen even after midnight. That's right, driving nearly an hour to another hospital would get you seen sooner than coming to this garbage of a hospital. This place is a complete joke. Don't come here. Abandon it and maybe they'll fire the idiots who run this place. EDIT: After 4 hours of sitting in the waiting room, a nurse finally showed us in. Hoping we were finally nearly done, we were once again forced to wait. Watching nurses and doctors walk very lazily by us without even acknowledging our presence, my wife and I both began feeling that they would probably make us wait another 3 hours til 8 am just so they could tell us to go the the Pediatrics area so they didn't have to deal with us. We waited another hour and a half and in that time the only person to greet us was suprise! the janitor. After the hour and a half, we decided to leave. I get the feeling this place would let you bleed to death while waiting before they bothered to do anything with you. Don't come to the ER if you value your time and your life. ABANDON ALL HOPE, YE WHO ENTER HERE!
