Northern Trails Bar & Grill

Great service and food. Tara was my server. Great job. Fun atmosphere. Bar side, dining side, outdoor area. Ample parking. Great Northern feel to the decor and surrounding area. Prices reasonable and food was delicious. Reuben, French dip, salmon, sides. I would come again. And would recommend to a friend.

We got the Reuben and the chicken burrito with a slice of German chocolate cake. The onion rings are the best. Everything tastes amazing, food came out fast, Tara was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. Servings are worth the price. Will definitely be back for our next date.

We were one of only four tables in the dining room area. Took around an hour to get our food. We didn’t see our waitress very often. The fish was overcooked so bad the meat was yellow. I showed two separate waitresses however they didn’t seem to care much. The other food was meh. We asked for a discount on the fish and they refused offering us some desert instead. I am a longtime customer who won’t be returning at this point. Very disappointing.

The food and service are great. I was hoping to get the walleye dinner, but they had replaced it with Grouper bites. Lightly breaded and flavorful! All the dishes coming out of the kitchen liked great. I will be returning when in the area.

Had almost an hour wait for a Friday night. The two kids that checked us in could have cared less about us and we're not very friendly. They seem like they were completely occupied with doing other things, which was nothing. Once we get seated, our server took almost 10 minutes to even recognize us to get our drink order, which was 2 pops and a water. We also by then we ready to order. But she was very friendly. The food was very good and plentiful. Still had long waits to get refreshed on the drinks. Never even got acknowledged by management which for the few times we have been there is not out of the ordinary. Management needs to make the rounds which help to see how things could be picked up a little bit as far as service.

The server seemed overwhelmed. The restaurant was huge and there only seemed to be a few servers. I had to go find my own silverware. My daughter ordered soup. 20 min later when the food was coming out the server told us they were out of the soup. She chose another menu item and received it as we were finishing up our meal. Not one table was cleared while we were there. Btw, we were there about 2, so after lunch rush.

Great and Awesome atmosphere! Open and spacious so even if you have a lot of people you don't feel claustrophobic. The servers treated us kindly and the food was great! Good time for when you're done tubing down the river!

We were seated and then forgotten. Our drink order was taken 20 minutes after being seated. We arrived at 445 p.m. on a Saturday. Our waitress hadn’t any apologies for her poor service. My husband ordered the fish and chips basket and the fish and fries were cold. We were asked if we wanted a to go box for our uneaten appetizer, but still hadn’t had our food order delivered to us. All around a bad experience. We will not be back.

I will say, we found this 5 minutes off 131 and it's one of the best burgers I have ever had! The wolverine burger! I highly recommend this place, great waitress and service as well. BOMB BURGER! I was so into my burger I forgot to take a photo!Food: 5/5
