With pretension our Department provides the best Fire protection & Critical care to the District, while trying to be the best role models for our community
The North Patchogue Fire Department is a statutory Local Authority with corporate status and was originally established in 1930 Then in 1934 on April 12 we where approverd by New York State as a Not for Profit corporation under the surname of the North Patchogue Fire Company Inc..
The Authority is a Category One responder under the Civil Contingencies Act. Its primary functions are prescribed by the Fire and Rescue Services Act under which the Authority is charged with the provision, training and equipping of a Fire and Rescue Service capable of undertaking the following functions:
1. Fire Prevention
2. Fire Safety
3. Firefighting and Rescue (Advanced EMT - Critical Care)
4. Road Traffic Accident extrication and rescue
5. Other emergency rescue activities including responding to flooding and terrorist attack
6. Special discretionary services (these are subject to charging)
We, the members of the North Patchogue Fire Department are a team of dedicated volunteers bonded together for the principle of protecting lives and property within our community. To accomplish this calling we task ourselves to become ever increasingly knowledgeable and proficient in the areas of fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention and other related actions. We will continually strive to employ all available means to achieve our department goals, and will serve as role models for the citizens of our community to the best of our ability
