21St ANNUAL NORTHSTAR ARTS CAMP AT MESABA PARK “POETRY IN THE PARK, TAKE TWO”
The 21st annual Northstar Arts Camp will be held at Mesaba Park June 15-18. "Poetry packs a punch without ever laying a hand..." We are thrilled to have Bill Buczinsky, a man driven to help us all "play the game of poetry" and fnd"A CHILD'S VOICE", return for his 2nd year! His passion for words and his ability to ignite that love in all campers was truly a marvel. OSCAR FORSMAN, DOROTHY SANDNESS, TERRENCE SMITH, and JIM LARSON will collaborate on traditional song and dance and help us all celebrate our midsummer's traditions. JOHN LATIMER, featured phenologist on KAXE, will again join us for a very informative "Walk in the Park," and ELANNE PALCICH and LYNN LAPATKA will again help us explore, love and understand our Park. DAVID BEDNARCZUK as well as a host of volunteers will round out this amazing team to provide a truly unique experience creating ART in this special place.
Campers ages 8-13 will work with each other, mentors and artists. The arts day camp runs Monday through Thursday, 10 - 4 pm, with the option of camping if accompanied by an adult. Cost for the camp is just $90 and includes lunches, snacks and materials.
