I felt like i was a normal person wanting to improve myself. I am almost 500 pounds. I walked in and was taken care of the entire time by every staff member i came across, about 12. I was educated and treated like this is the 1st day of a new chapter in prolonging life. Having quality of Life i think my Dr. said. I have the hardest job John said, but WE will be there to help... And i truly believe they will be. I give 5 stars, as i start to loose 125 pounds. I have the tools. Mz.Peggy Harris
I saw Dr Dirks today he was very thorough and quite knowledgeable. He went over two types of surgery and gave me the pros and cons of both made sure I understood what he wanted to do and why. I was very comfortable with both of them the dietitian and Dr. Dirk’s
This was the first visit on my weight loss journey. I saw Lyndi the dietitian, Dr. Pennings the surgeon, and the Bariatrics Class with Laurie the Program Director. Everyone was so helpful with details and instructions, as well as being so patient with all my questions and my lengthy answers to their questions. I would recommend Northwest Bariatrics to anyone thinking about bariatric surgery to help them achieve their weight loss goals. Dr Pennings even explained the downside of having this surgery, not just the upside to get you to have the surgery. I really respect a doctor who cares about their patients enough to make them really think about why they want to have a procedure done, and what they hope to accomplish long term. Thank you!!
Update: they refuse to work with me and deny any issue in their end. I will be reporting for Medicaid fraud. Update: I called my insurance and found out that THEY coded it incorrectly and then tried to blame me. THEY need to fix this, not me - which is exactly what my insurance told me. Surgeon: five stars! He was very thorough, personable, and knowledgeable. My surgery bypass, hernia repair, and gallbladder removal went great and recovery was fast. Nutritionist: two stars. They are nice but offered little help in the process. Many of the suggestions were pulled directly from the book they give you on day one. I have found a different dietician to see with more helpful tips for recipes, meal prep, etc that is specific to my needs. Front desk: three stars. They are “nice.” Messaging system: one star. Most of my phone calls were not returned. I called my primary doctor instead Billing: negative stars. I went off on the billing lady when she told me that they performed l the surgery prior to receiving authorization. I hope I can get this fixed without resorting to filing bankruptcy. I am a single parent and grad student. I cannot afford this surgery out of pocket.
Two years out from surgery. NWBariatrics is still getting 5stars from me. From the staff at the desk to the nutritionists and practitioners everyone makes the experience wonderful. Always answering questions and concerns promptly and with compassion and professionalism. Simply the best experience.
I have personally witnessed hundreds of successful weight loss journeys. Dr. Pennings and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly and truly care about the success of their patients and family. If you're looking for an experienced surgeon and terrific human being, Dr. Pennings is your man.
The staff at Northwest Bariatrics is fantastic. Caring, funny and they made this journey with bariatric surgery seamless and comfortable. If you're considering surgery at all I recommend you go in and talk to their specialists.
Friendly.clean office.Good experience in the next stage of loosing weight. My husband and are both going through bariatric surgery together.Very pleasant and welcoming place to be.
I found the staff to be friendly, professional, and very organized. I feel like I'm in good hands with Northwest Bariatrics.
Unnecessary procedure. Painful recovery. Condition worse than before my visit. And to add insult to injury, the cost was literally twice as much as quoted.
