The office was nice clean first place I’ve seen like this in years. The staff was very friendly. Wait time wasn’t long at all “ I did arrive earlier than my appointment” after seeing the PA they was know need for the doctor. She answered all my questions get a couple of tests right there in the office results came back instantly.
I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews....I personally can't say enough good things about this hospital. My brother has been here for a few days 4th floor and I have visited him twice so far. Both day.... Dr., Nurses, etc...one right after another has been extremely caring. He was there Christmas Eve and Christmas day who really wants to work this days. The staff just acted like it was any another day with no complaining and great care. The rooms where amazing and clean. Keep up the great work!
I would give this hospital a zero if I could. This place has gone down the drain dramatically. First time issue-My husband has health problems and was in the hospital about 3 weeks ago. It took over 5 hours for him to get seen by a doctor. When he was admitted they put him on the 4th floor pediatrics No doctor's came up to see him. The Indian nurse was very rude. Try to have a conversation and she just ignore you. Pt nurse was also nowhere to be found. Showed up 1or 2 times. He had to wait over an hour just to get walked to his bathroom. Terrible floor to be on. Second issue -Today morning, he was in the hospital for chest pain. They did a EKG which came back normal so they sent him back out in the waiting area. Up at the check in desk We saw several people standing on the side of the desk and getting put thru to see their loved ones in back I'm saying this because this is my complaint. Anyway, apparently you don't have the right to freedom of speech anymore. 5 hours later -My husband was still in his ER room waiting to go to his room again on the 4th floor. Well, the nurse upfront that checks you in cops an attitude with me and tells me I need to go to the back of the line. Then tells the African American lady security officer to leave me in. The security asked me what room and I told her. Well she said something to me and I said "I get your policy" and she says to me as I am walking away from her heading to my husbands room "You gonna have an attitude; you can leave"! She then comes to my husband's er room and said to me "If you don't follow protocol you will not be allowed here anymore". She said this right in front of him. First of all, I never copped an attitude with her and I am not going to stand for being threatened or accused of something I didn't do. Nobody should be treated like that!! I also understand that the people upfront are overworked, but that doesn't give them the right to talk to you that way either. Just plain rude. Again, my husband had to wait over 45 minutes just to go to the bathroom and never got his urinal back. My husband got very upset about the way I was treated and he discharged himself out. I would not recommend this hospital no matter how desperate you are. Go somewhere else. All they care about is the money.
The pediatric ER is beyond amazing. The nurses were wonderful and caring and as a parent I felt like they cared for my daughter and wanted her feeling better as soon as possible. Tests were completed with results reviewed quickly and a treatment plan, that we all agreed with, was put in place right away. This was our families 5th trip to this ER active, fearless athletes and we have had phenomenal service each time.
Stellar upscale hospital that has expanded over the years to be a multidisciplinary multi faceted f ability with lots of divisions & departments. Now a Northwestern University branch in the suburbs!
This place is a joke. They transfer over half their patients to Northwestern because they are completely incompetent to deal with any situation. They need to be UP FRONT with their patients and tell them what they can and cannot do. My personal experience- my family was called obnoxious because we were "hoping for the worst situation" with my pregnancy. This came from the head of the department too. We were, in fact, trying to prepare for the worst case scenario and we were told that it could and would be handled with ease. Next thing we know a nurse tells us we are being transferred. Not the doctor. The doctor fought with us, once again the head of the OB Duly department. In order for him to stop arguing after my family had enough, I had to yell that I was going to rip out my IVs if he didn't stop, he still didn't stop so I said it two more times and finally he backed off. Does this really sound like a place you want to trust your life with? Go to Edward's in Naperville.
I don't know about the rest of the hospital, but we were absolutely disappointed with our experience at the maternity ward. We are family visiting our new baby cousin and happy new mother. The baby's sister and mother's daughter was with us, almost two years old. For visiting rules, we were told those under 18 years old would not be allowed into the mother’s room. JUST the room. But, they said it was ok to bring the two year old inside the building and into the waiting room. She was wearing a mask. The head nurse at this unit it was a Thursday at around 7 p.m. was absolutely unprofessional and called us liars when she saw us. According to her, the two-year-old isn't allowed in the waiting room either. No kids unless they are the patients. We told her we were unaware of this, which we truly were because no one had told us otherwise. She then left and went back into the ward yelling. Minutes later out of nowhere, she came back and was the RUDEST I have ever been treated in my life. It was absolutely uncalled for. The nurse raised her voice and was yelling at us, calling us liars that we did know the rules, and saying we had to leave the building or she'd call security on us. Mind you, we were not arguing with her. We were simply apologizing and trying to explain ourselves. If you've been here, you know that you have to check in and get a tag with the receptionist downstairs before going up to the waiting room on the second level. We asked the receptionist and she said this was allowed, and did not stop us from taking the two-year-old upstairs. We understand if those were the rules, we would of course accept them. But the way this nurse spoke to us, and the fact that there was obvious miscommunication within the hospital staff in terms of what is and isn't allowed - we were so taken aback. I have never been treated like this in my life. The way we were treated and yelled at, plus threatened with security when we were not raising our voices or arguing is completely wrong. My now 22-year old daughter was born at Central DuPage and it has a special place in our hearts. But we are never coming back here again. Hope there are consequences for this horrendous head nurse. She cannot be treating people visiting at the hospital like this no matter the reason. And she ruined such a special moment in us visiting the newest member of our family.
Avoid this place at all costs! I have had great experiences at other northwestern hospitals but this particular location is awful, especially radiology. I know every time I visit this location I will have to spend countless hours on the phone fixing their billing mistakes. Staff is rude, obviously there are great staff too, but the negative experiences far outweigh the positive. It really feels like this hospital sees you as a profit potential not a human.
The best Hospital in Dupage, IL! We had a Wonderful experience! My husband was admitted here for a few days and All the staff were so friendly and caring. Housekeeping and food service was great as well. The room was always clean and the meals were pretty good. Thank you Team for such great care! We will always choose to come here if needed.
This has been the best experience I’ve ever had at any hospital. Absolutely everyone has been so helpful, friendly and kind. From the receptionist, the nurses, the doctors, the darn maintenance staff she literally stopped mopping the floor and walked in with blankets and pillows for me as a guest on her own accord. Random staff in elevators. Wonderful.
