Advancing media innovation through exploration and experimentation. Follow us on Twitter for the latest updates and news @KnightLab.
Established in 2011 with a $4.2 million grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Knight Lab is a joint initiative of Northwestern University's Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science and the Medill School of Journalism.
In addition to creating innovative products, one of the Lab’s primary objectives is to move technology out of the Lab and into the hands of publishers who can use the technology to make the entire news publishing process – reporting, presentation, distribution, etc. – more efficient and effective.
