Our experience with Northwoods Funeral Home in SSM couldn’t have been easier! Our mom had prepaid for her funeral several years ago. When she passed, Joan the funeral director connected us with Maddie and from that point on we were in excellent and caring hands. Maddie went above and beyond the call of duty and the remaining invoice was minimal. Great service and price with no hidden costs.
The staff were so kind and sincere taking care of my grandpa who we lost unexpectedly. They were very empathic and treated us with utmost respect. Really treated us like family through such a difficult time. All the services that were provided were given in detail and explained throughly so that we were able to put our minds at ease knowing he was in very good hands. Thank you to all the amazing staff that worked with us. You really did help in the most difficult time for myself and my family. Would highly recommend.
My father recently passed away and our family secured the services of Northwood Funeral and Cremation Centre. It was a peaceful and positive experience. The attendants were very helpful and respectful. All courtesy was given to our guests and family. The visitation was well prepared. The service was heartfelt and sincere. The facility was perfect. We had such a wonderful experience at Northwood when our mother passed away. Our funeral director was Joan and she helped us in so many ways. There was no pressure and she made it so beautiful and easy. My heartfelt thanks go to Joan and her team at Northwood.

I gotta be honest here, they did a whole lot of nothing for nearly 2000$ and when we called to ask them about "300$ documentation" and other fees that we had on our bill they wouldn't give us any clear answer, and told us "privacy issues". I see all of these other reviews out there, and to be honest I'm not impressed at all. All they did was sit us down, make us sign documents, and now we have a nice fat bill. Wasn't impressed with the answer received over the phone, just a nice little public relation speech. CHEERS!
My wife passed away resently and we had the wake and service at Northwoods. It was an extremly difficult and emotional time for me and my family. The staff was so helpful and understanding, so comming, that made us feel they were part of our family. Everything fell into place as they said it would. Staff is stuck up and snobby. All about the mighty dollar and take advantage of you at the lowest point of your life. Taking advantage of people when they lost a loved one is totally wrong! Staff needs to take some sensitivity training as well.
