Love this spot. I’ve been to Notre Dame a few times in my travels. I always find myself chanting “Rudy, Rudy, Rudy” as I walk around the football stadium. The Basilica is awesome from the outside. I arrived to late in the day to get inside. I remember the days when you could walk into a church or a house of God at any time of the day. One interesting fact that I was unaware of all these years is that the church calls Cathedrals, Basilica’s when the Pope has been there personally. I am a big fan of the school and there willingness to promote God and His ministry to their students and the world without being subject to all of the noise and pressure within our modern world. Good for you Notre Dame! I would highly recommend a walk around Campus.
Awesome stadium, only two things I didn't like was the seats are to close together, all that money they used for the remodel my knees shouldn't be in people backs. Also should be a TV screen on both sides of the stadium. If you are on the TV side you will have to wear a neck brace by the end of the game because your going to be constantly turning to look at the one TV in the stadium. Other than that we had a great time.
It's an experience worth checking out. Notre Dame Stadium, also known as "The House That Rockne Built," is an iconic football stadium located on the campus of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Here's a brief history and a positive review of this historic venue: History: - Notre Dame Stadium was built in 1930, primarily under the guidance of legendary football coach Knute Rockne. It was initially designed to accommodate a seating capacity of 54,000 spectators. - Over the years, the stadium has undergone several expansions to meet the growing demand for tickets. Notable renovations include the addition of the upper deck in 1969 and the construction of the "Touchdown Jesus" mural on the Hesburgh Library in 1981, which can be seen from the stadium. - Notre Dame Stadium has been the home of the Fighting Irish football team since its inception. The team's rich history, including 11 national championships and legendary players like Joe Montana and Tim Brown, has helped solidify the stadium's place in college football lore. Great stadium. Had some vip seats. Loved them. It's always a fun, exciting place. Fans are so into every game pushing for the Irish. If you haven't gone and are a Notre Dame fan. You need to go.
Had a great time at the game. Not a close game, but always fun going to ND. They are very organized and know how to reduce traffic. Fairly easy in and out
Amazingly Awesome! You can feel something special when you are here. The tradition and then the thoughts of the some of the greatest football players all time played here
Was here September 2021. The tailgate was nice, although it was a long walk through campus to the stadium. The concourse is very nice. The stadium itself is comparable to Michigan Stadium in that it is just a single big bowl, although it is not as big. The stadium capacity is about 78,000. It gets kind of loud but nothing impressive. Great experience overall. Touchdown Jesus is iconic and was very cool to see. South Bend itself isn't the nicest area, there's ghetto right by campus. No big deal though because I'm cool with folk.
This is the most beautiful stadium I’ve ever seen. I’m a fan of old traditional football stadium and the architecture that they display. This one is the cream of the crop inside and out. If you’re a Notre Dame fan of any kind this is a must see. You won’t be disappointed. Whether you go during the season or during offseason you will be amazed. This place is what college sports are all about. A definite winner.
Super fun to catch a football game here! Lots of really fun traditions! Pretzels are mid
2nd visit. Loved the vibe. Wow. You don't know a ND game unless you're there with the fans.
