Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton University

About

Building upon the core of the Fred and Ethel Noyes Collection, The Noyes Museum of Art of Richard Stockton College provides the southern New Jersey region an opportunity to learn about, explore, and experience the arts.

Description

Opened in 1983, The Noyes Museum of Art was the vision of local entrepreneurs Fred W. and Ethel (Lingelbach) Noyes, Jr. who were avid art and antique collectors. Fred was also an academically trained artist and produced many works which reflect his love of southern New Jersey's natural features. His art and personal collection of vintage bird decoys are now a part of the Museum’s vast permanent collection of 19th to 21st century fine and folk art.

The Museum boasts a serene lakeside setting adjacent to the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge and is located minutes from downtown Atlantic City and dining and shopping at Historic Smithville Village.

Currently displaying sculpture in the Lilt show. Excellent experience.
This was a nice place to visit after a drive around the wildlife refuge. Unfortunately they closed it and moved the art to the Atlantic City parking garage site. The building is due to open again as the LifePoint Church this summer.
A relatively small, intimate museum. Beautiful location, just outside Forsythe wildlife refuge. Galleries are beautiful, and feature good documentation. Lots of activities year round. Nice museum store. Excellent value for the money. Plan at least an hour for the exhibits.
Love this place so relaxing love when they do activities for children in art
