Nut Free Sweets
Our son has a severe nut allergy (including coconut). Those that have a nut allergy, or have a child with a nut allergy, know that living nut free is a lifestyle. The sad part is that a nut free lifestyle often includes being left out, singled out or avoiding situations. With cross contamination being a constant fear and danger, bakeries, ice cream shops and restaurants are avoided. Birthday parties are not attended or special arrangements have to be made so a safe treat is available. We had trouble finding a dedicated nut free kitchen that could promise there would be no cross contamination. With little to no options, we started making cupcakes and other treats to take to birthday parties so we knew our son would be safe. This then led us to starting Nut Free Sweets.
Nut Free Sweets is committed to making all of our products 100% safe for people with nut allergies. That's why we run a nut free "dedicated bakery." What does that mean? It means that no peanuts, no tree nuts, no nuts of any kind EVER enter our doors.
We do not trust any label and we take extra steps to ensure that our ingredients are not produced in facilities or on equipment that process nuts. We provide our customers with a complete list of products and ingredients, a list of manufacturers that produce the products we use and letters from the manufacturers confirming that their products, and the manufacturing of their products, are peanut and tree nut free. We have an open kitchen policy and encourage customers to "check us out." We understand how serious nut allergies are and we want to provide products that anyone with, or without, a nut allergies can trust.
