The pizza was really good but the nachos had more lettuce than anything else. Way too much lettuce, it was messy and not even fresh. If we wanted a salad we would have ordered salad. We were there around 8, before it was busy and our server disappeared for long blocks of time. This is a decent place to get a couple drinks and listen to a band, but if you want dinner and good service look elsewhere.
First time here and many more to come!!! Excellent service - delicious food - prompt and friendly wait staff. What else can you ask for? Best Bar Food I’ve ever tasted!!! Thank you Nuthouse for making it such a great place to have my lunch today!!!Food: 5/5
I had high hopes for this place going in but could not have been more disappointed. The service was fine. That's about all I can say for it. The waitress came by three times, once to take my order, once to bring my food and once to bring the bill. I was there a short time, but I was surprised with how slow they were that she never checked in. My order was simple, a grilled cheese with tomatoes and onions. At $12 I thought it would be a mighty fine grilled cheese but I have never been so wrong before in my life. There were four slices of barely melted American cheese, one slice of tomato on each half, and thickly sliced onion. So thick, it was hard to eat. The onion and tomatoes were cold, which when combined with the barely warm cheese seriously, cheese slices melt in seconds and these were cold in the middle it was gross and hard to eat. Given the I was extremely hungry, that says a lot. The sweet potato fries were piping hot and just the right amount of crispy. They were saving grace of the meal. It will take a lot for anyone to convince me to go here again.
I used to love coming here. I thought this place was fun and had really great food but after my experience last night, I will not be going back and I do not reccommend anyone go here unless they want to be treated with dirty looks, hour+ wait times even when not busy, rude waitstaff and unprofessional management. We were the only table in the whole place. There were a few people at the bar. We got our drinks right away but then waited an hour and a half for our food. This was after I politely asked several times how much longer it would be. Tables that came in after us were getting their food first and no one would own up or offer any kind of apology or explanation. The staff was rude, dismissive, inexperienced, and unprofessional. Completely unprepared to serve on a game day. The female manager last night not only threatened to call the cops on me when I asked if the cook needed help, she did not apologize or offer to comp the meal or anything. Very unprofessional. The whole staff last night should be fired. They were all worthless.
We were sat down right away in a pretty much dead restaurant. Looked at the menu and no one ever bothered to come to our table. Ended up waiting 15 minutes and watching servers stare blankly a crossed the bar and we called it and went somewhere else. I consider myself a pretty patient person but it was pretty clear no one there wanted to serve us. If a restaurant can’t figure out how to greet a customer and take a order I can’t imagine it gets much better after that.
This was our first time eating at The Nut House; we had won a gift certificate same day and figured we would try them out. Before even entering the establishment, we questioned whether the business was open or not; There were very few cars in the lot & no open sign visible in any windows. Being Labor Day afraid they weren't open, we still gambled and got out to check the doors. Doors were open & we walked in to a nearly empty establishment; 4 people at the bar and two other tables sitting 2 people each. We took our seat near the back, and waited for our waitress. At first, Shalice was attentive and appeared to care about her customers, she took our drink order, brought the drinks back to the table and we gave her our appetizer order of nutty bread with ranch and dill sauce. Shalice gave us a few more minutes before returning for our order of a meat lovers pizza. As time passed, Shalice approached our table at least three times letting us know our bread would be out shortly. On her 4th visit to the table, she told us our bread was being discounted because it had taken 30 minutes and being all new people in the kitchen, that was an unacceptable time frame. About 5 minutes later, someone other than Shalice delivered our bread, which looked amazing and tasted great. We had gotten about three bites into the bread, when Shalice brought out what appeared to be a very under cooked pizza. Immediately after setting the pizza down, Shalice walked away; only to return once asking if we wanted a refill on beverages, not asking how the pizza was. We chose to try to eat the pizza as best we could, as we knew the kitchen staff was new. Out of an 8 slice pizza, we ate 2 1/2 slices; the sauce was awful, toppings cold and dough in middle was severely undercooked. Shalice returned once again, only to ask if we wanted a box for our undercooked pizza, again never asking how we liked the pizza or if everything was all right. We declined and proceeded to ask for our check. Our bill totaled 28.01 with the gift certificate, the bill was brought to 3.01...which is why we did not complain about the under done pizza, we weren't looking for something for free. When Shalice brought the change back to the table, we let her know that its too bad the kitchen was to blame for the pizza because any good server would have recognized that we did not like the pizza and how under cooked it was. Instead of Shalice apologizing, she decided she wanted to go toe-to-toe with me and defend that she is in fact a good server and that she was very busy mind you, still the same amount of customers as when we first arrived I looked around and laughed at the fact that she was "too busy" to recognize something wrong at a table. The tip, that was to be left for our waitress was picked up and put back into my pocket. Again we were not looking for anything for free, we had all desire to pay fully for the entire meal, just wanted our "good" waitress to recognize when a table is unhappy or even when a meal is brought out that looks inedible. We were never approached by a manager, even after Shalice stated the manager was the one discounting the bread... We will never be back to this establishment; and I hope those who do visit are lucky enough to be spared by the unprofessionalism of Shalice.
Waited a long time Terrible French onion soup . Worst soup I’ve ever tried. No exaggeration! Chicken sandwich came out cool from 25 wait as it sat. Lettuce and tomato wilted from sitting. Bartender didn’t make anything right except comp part of meal. Mistake dining here
Horrible experience watched the waiter turn away a family because they had a small stroller claimed there was nowhere and it could be put by the table. Where we were set at had plenty of room for a stroller! We waited approximately 30 minutes for drinks, and it took an hour and a half before our food came this place needs better management. And the food was nothing special my burger was cold!
With a gluten allergy dining out is a challenge on a good day. Waitress was phenomenal, attentive, courteous, kind, sweet, and so fabulous...but when my food came on a bun, NO! Apparently the Nuthouse kitchen staff needs to pay closer attention to their orders! My friend ordered no tomatoes, full of them in their wrap. Wonderful place for drinks, but be wary of your kitchen order. Wait staff is wonderful regardless.
We had a fantastic experience at The Nuthouse! I brought a group of 49 people in for lunch. Our group had a choice between three pre-selected entrees, so I was able to call our order in ahead of time. As soon as we were seated, delicious hot food was arriving at our table. Sarah, the manager, was great to work wit, the wait staff was friendly and did a great job getting the correct meals to everyone, keeping drinks filled, clearing our table, and checking in with us periodically. Shout out to the kitchen for the awesome food! I will definitely be going back!
