I have just filed a complaint with the osteopathic board of California because of this hateful SOB! You better check yelp reviews before you even consider this hateful little man! I have never seen such a hateful group of people in my life, and Dr. Philip Lim is the devil incarnate! In February 20 20 Dr. Lim accepted me as a patient, but when Covid shut downs the very next month and his business was struggling he began trying to force me to have a pump implanted in my body and I constantly refused which was my constitutional right! He constantly harassed me even though I refused! In March 2022 he decides to change my medication which made me seriously ill, I called the office to report it. I called and called and called and called and nobody answered so I called my insurance company to ask for a new pain doctor and explained what happened. They filed a grievance and the immediate retaliation began, this hateful despicable little man began instant retaliation, a violation of 1278.5 of the health and safety code! He cussed me he cursed me he insulted me, and then in December 2022, he contaminated my urine sample with three medication‘s, two of which I am allergic to and then blamed me for taking them and not knowing it, then he blamed the pharmacy for giving me the wrong medication, then he blamed the testing agency quest diagnostics, but he is the one along with his office manager Melissa who could have done it. Melissa, nasty nasty person, who conspired to contaminate my drug screen which I have been giving for over 15 years and never failed! When you fail a urine screen doctor usually demand immediate retesting, he waited three months! I believe since 95% of his patients are Korean and of Asian descent, that Racism is his goal to purge white people from his office! If you value your physical and mental health, I recommend you search far and wide because living in pain is preferable to dealing with this hateful despicable criminal organization known as NuVationPain! I will be reporting them to cd pH, the osteopathic board, the office for civil rights! I have told my local police department and the DEA about this for investigation as recommended by the district attorneys office! This Dr and practice has changed my mind about pain management drs. They all seem so genuine to want to help you and go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of from the receptionist to the drs then selves they have been beyond amazing and I am so glad I have them in my life. Thank you Nuvation for helping me bring back my quality of life! Kimberly Wayne
The office just replied to a six-year-old review I made, so I'm updating it today, 08/01/2023. I saw this doctor in like 2017. At first, I had a decent experience. The doctor was nice and easy to talk to. I believe in total, I received pain injections from this doctor 2 times in my scapular region shoulder. I got zero relief each time. Like... It would've been better to not receive anything at all. Nada. Nothing. Same goes for the second time. I remember asking "when is it supposed to feel better?" and they said "soon" but soon never came. To this day 2023 I still have scapular pain - I gave up on pain injections as a potential fix. Physical therapy has been the only thing that's helped. I'd not recommend the PT's office next door - they told me "maybe physical therapy just isn't for you" and gave up on me as a patient after a few months of treatment. That experience scarred me from seeking PT as treatment, but luckily I tried it again about 4 years later. I saw a fantastic PT and lo and behold, he figured it out. I'm doing a lot better now but not totally fixed. Back to NuVation: I don't know if it was the doctor not knowing exactly how to help, not asking the right questions, or if it was me not describing it correctly, but the pain injections just did absolutely nothing for me here. I also recall something weird with billing, like I had to pay more than what was estimated or they didn't know how much everything would cost until it got billed to insurance. It ended up being either thousands or over $1,000, which I had to set up bill pay to NuVation to cover. I hate medical billing. Crazy they don't know how much it'll cost prior to doing it. What other industry is like this?! If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't. Average rating for me since it's been so long and since idk I think I could've handled some things better if I had been a little wiser.
One of the best doctors and practices I’ve been too. And over the last couple of years I’ve been to a lot. Initial exam was really thorough, and detailed. Excellent follow up, and helped me along the way with my surgery. James was especially helpful, and really does care about his patients. Would highly recommend.
I love how he spent time withe and talked about the best options for me. I appreciate all his knowledge. He made me feel like there is a lot of hope for me. I am definitely excited to see the results once I start my next step. Thank you Dr. Lim. I am beyond grateful. Wonderful people who work for him also.
Dr Lim is Very Good at explaining what is happening to Our Bodies. Great "Bedside" manner is the Best way for Me to describe Him & His Assistant James They actually Listen to what you're saying during your visit Medically and Personally! I "BELIEVE" in Him so much that I have elected to follow thru with a "Procedure" He & James have talked to me about in My past few appointments. I THANK-YOU DR. LIM & JAMES for Accepting ME as Your Patient!
Dr. Lim is fantastic and so is the staff. NuVation Pain Group offers so many options on pain relief and I was able to take advantage of one of those options. In our telemedicine appointments, Dr Lim takes as much time as he does with a person to person appointment and I don't feel cheated out. I would highly recommend going to Dr. Lim.
This Dr is just amazing. He really cares and does what is right For people with real pain and disease. The staff are great. The building is very nice as well. Thank you nuVation pain group for helping me have a better life.

Patients Don't go to this clinic This place is way too expensive camparing to other clinics You will be suprised after you receive the payment statement. In addtion to this the receptionist is very rude.
