Men of Letters is a student organization for men in the literary society tradition at Nyack College. Its purpose is to develop the ethical and intellectual excellence of its members and their fellow brothers.
I. PURPOSE
The purpose of Men of Letters is to develop the ethical and intellectual excellence of the members and their fellow brothers. This will be done primarily through lectures and discussions on culture, current events and the liberal arts. It is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences. This will be hosted on the Manhattan Campus during the 2011-2012 academic year.
II. VALUES
Men of Letters is based on three Core Values: Brotherhood, Scholarship, Ethics.

· Scholarship - We are committed to gather as Men of Letters engaging in lifelong education and intellectual pursuit.

III. EXPECTATIONS
Men of Letters are expected:
· To respect and support the brothers of the group
· To maintain higher-than-average grades
· To engage in ongoing self-reflection and critical thinking
· To carry oneself worthy of being identified with the Men of Letters
· To participate in the general monthly meetings
· To participate in Men of Letter activities
