Best place to be. During my time at NYE Pointe working there as a travel nurse was such a great experience. The people, the residents are so welcoming and warm-hearted. They make you feel at home, the residents are always so happy and content with the care that is given.
I have been at Nye Pointe for a little over three years. I have got to say, this campus is as home-like as possible. We have MANY caring staff and friendly faces despite the challenges that comes with a care facility these days. I feel like our campus moves mountains to make sure every person feels valued.
We lost our beloved Aunt Gracie on June 8th of this year. She had been a resident of Nye Pointe for over 3 years. She received such amazing care during her stay. There were times when she was very difficult to take care of due to her dementia. The staff was so compassionate with her. They treated her like she was family. During her final days different staff would stop to see her and tell her they loved her and rub her arm or touch her face. I was amazed with the attention she received. She always told us how kind and caring everyone was. I can see why Nye Pointe is a 5 star home.
We are very fortunate to have my mother in-law at Nye Pointe, she has been there for several years. She is well taken care of and treated like a member of their own families. The entire staff is very personable and professional and keep us updated on a regular basis or asap if warranted. We are very pleased with how much she is thriving there, at over 90 years old. It means so much to know that she is happy, well taken care of and loved...as if we were taking care of her ourselves!!
Two of my aunts have been at Nye Pointe. The staff has always been warm and welcoming during my numerous visits from out of state and while assisting me with phone visits. They both received excellent care and the staff treated them like they were members of their own family. During my Aunt Gracie’s recent passing, so many staff members frequently stopped in to check on us and share a message of care and compassion. Such a great care community!
My Mom was a resident of Nye Pointe for over 6 years. We always felt she received excellent care from everyone who is part of the NP family! She had her beautiful smile right up to the end and we’re so thankful for that. I think it’s because she knew she was loved by so many people! God bless you all!
We are so fortunate that both our parents have been at Nye Pointe. The staff is most caring, compassionate & goes above & beyond on a daily basis. They are working under incredible conditions with the current Covid situation. Our Mother is well cared for & the communication from Nye Pointe is exceptional! I would not hesitate to recommend Nye Pointe to anyone needing the services of a skilled care facility. Kirk, Nicole O. & the entire staff run a facility that is second to none!
Almost 6 years ago my dad came to Nye Pointe, and my mom arrived shortly after. Dad was cantankerous, to say the least, but the staff stopped at nothing to provide him the best care possible. They treated him with respect, compassion, and professionalism until his passing over 3 years ago. Mom has remained a loved member of the Nye Pointe family, receiving the same exceptional care, which has FAR exceeded our expectations. EVERYONE on the staff from housekeeping to maintenance, therapy, dietary, nursing, and supervisory staff have gone out of their way to see that her needs are met in a timely, caring manner. Communication with family has been excellent. I am kept in the loop regarding any changes in her status or needs. During the pandemic I've been confident none of this has changed. The peace of mind this brings is priceless. I cannot thank these fine folks enough for their dedication. I hope to live independently for years to come, but I've often told the staff, when I need a care facility, Nye Pointe is where I want to be!
My father was a resident at Nye Pointe for nearly two years prior to his recent death at age 89. Throughout his entire life he was fiercely independent and uncompromising about the way he expected things to be done. Thus, when his physical infirmities finally progressed to the point that he had to rely on others to assist him in virtually every aspect of his life, we expected that dealing with him would be a daunting challenge. With a seemingly endless supply of patience, understanding, compassion and professionalism, the staff at Nye Pointe was nothing short of superlative in caring for him. And when I say the staff, I mean everyone associated with the facility. If he had a complaint, they addressed it. If there was a problem, they found a solution. If he or the family needed something, they provided it. That was particularly true during the pandemic, when, in addition to all their regular duties, staff took on the added responsibility of providing the emotional support that the residents could no longer receive from family and friends, whose contact was limited for safety reasons. The dedication of those people to the residents they serve is truly inspiring. Not everything was perfect all the time-but that is true of everything in life, including family, and that is exactly how my father himself described the Nye Pointe staff. For him there was no greater compliment to give.
We were very lucky to have my mother move from another facility to this one before she passed. At the prior facility she had fallen several times and one time was left on the floor for hours. No one checked on her. After another fall where I had to transport my mom to the ER, we never returned and we moved her immediately to Nye Pointe. The staff there was wonderful. She was well-cared for. When she was in the process of dying, the staff along with her hospice care-givers could not have been more helpful. The lesson I learned is to look at the staff. If they treat their residents as humans, they will do their very best to make their lives comfortable. Both my husband and I volunteer there now. It's a great facility with staff that really care.
