New York Hardcore Tattoos is a landmark in the heart of the lower east side of New York City. Founded by Hardcore legend, Vinnie Stigma in 1999.

Established in 1999.
NYHC Tattoo is the brainchild of two of the most influential Lower East Side musicians. Vinnie Stigma of Agnostic Front and Jimmy Gestapo of Murphys Law. This legendary landmark opened in 1999 and has been a staple in the hardcore community for over 10 years.

In early 2010 Jimmy and Vinnie added three new partners to the mix. Lars Frederiksen of the punk band Rancid, along with Albany icons, Mike Valente and Tragedy.

The new owners Nick Caruso and Mike Maney have renovated the shop in 2016 and are running it along with Mark Harada, shop manager, Sweety, Miykey and Jeremy Miller. Plus friends and various guest artist from around the globe.

I’ve recently visited NY Hardcore tattoo and saw Eli! I’m from out of town so every time i visit I stop to see Eli.  First, shop has a vibe and gets me very inspired with all the art on the walls. Definitely enjoyed visiting this place.  Eli specifically- ah- not enough great words can be said! The artistry is top tier and unique with a very specific point of reference. However, I have seen Eli absolutely cater and be open to not only modifying, but completely bringing your idea to art.  In all my experiences with Eli, I’ve always felt heard, not rushed, made feel comfortable, and truly makes the entire process an experience! Thank you Eli! See you soon!

Visiting from out of town and wanted a fun impromptu tattoo. Walked in and was immediately welcomed by an artistic, edgy, yet welcoming experience. Service was fantastic, both artists gave great advice and were extremely thorough. Came with friends and we were offered free beverages while I got inked up. Will definitely be recommending to others.

Had the best experience here. I asked for the least “hardcore” tattoo ever. My son “Gilbert”s name on my wrist…..no judgement, just a great, painless and courteous interaction. Anthony was super personable and professional - gave me great info on keeping my new tattoo clean and healthy. I’ll be back here 100%

Came in for a walk-in and was so pleased with the experience. The boss Miykey is so friendly and welcoming. I got a tattoo from Eli and I loveee it!  Will be coming back for more in the future

Been going to NYHC Tattoo for over 7 years now and they always kill it. Miykey is an awesome guy, very professional and a good friend. If you’re looking to get something done highly recommend checking this shop out.

This place rocks! I loved it so much I went two days in a row. To start, and most important when looking for a good shop, it is impeccably clean. All the artists take such care in providing a sanitary environment and it’s clear they know what they’re doing. I’ve seen a few different artists here, and every time my experience has been amazing. The artists are talented, skillful, and kind. These folks know how to make you feel right at home and prioritize your comfort throughout the entire experience. These have been some of the best sessions I’ve ever had! Not to mention the quality and craftsmanship of every tattoo I’ve gotten here has been amazing. I’m always satisfied beyond my expectations with how the tattoo turns out. They make sure you are satisfied and provide wonderful guidance on aftercare so you tattoo heals no problem. Everyone is warm and welcoming, and they take any nerves away through the chill environment. Everyone is so accommodating and they make sure the experience is seamless and easy for you as a customer.
