We have been coming here for company tailgate and game for almost 10 years. I'm not sure what people are talking about like it's too old. Of course it's old it's been here forever but as far as stadiums go it's in pretty good shape. We did loose the game but it was a fun Star Wars drone show that the kids loved and they loved watching the game too. Great place to watch a game.
Tailgating was great and the fan’s overall were nice, I see why people don’t like the coliseum but you can get great seats with great staff for a affordable price, and you can get the tailgating experience for 30 dollars and parking. Although people don’t like the stadium I do think it’s nice and just a little outdated but they have so much history and game used memorabilia to see and to buy, the stadium was hot but not horrible and there’s plenty of room in the concourse to sit and cool off. The staff were nice and helpful and it was a overall 10/10 experience! And I would definitely recommend and go again!
The Coliseum is old, dated, and home to some of the best fans in baseball and the most incredible stadium staff. From the parking attendants to the ushers and everyone in between, our family has always had the most fun going to A's games. Our daughter got a free pin for her first A's game, and she got a ball as well from a member of the field staff. Everyone is genuinely amazing that works there, and the fans are passionate in the best way. I sincerely hope this team never leaves, but for now we will enjoy it as much as we can while it lasts.
Nostalgic feel to this stadium that's been around for decades. The coliseum gives a great view from just about anywhere. The best thing about the stadium is the fans. Doesn't matter if the A's are down, the fans keep the game exciting and they know how to keep the wave going around. Prices for food and drink are pretty comparable to other stadiums. We want the night of the Star Wars drone show and fans got to enjoy the show on the baseball field which made for a cool experience. Plan to get their early - especially if the nearby arena that shares the parking lot has an event on the same day as game day.
Been coming to the Coliseum since 89' watching the As, Raiders, Yankees and other various teams play here. Lots of great memories! Good stadium that needs a little more TLC that management refuses to address. Staff are nice and helpful. Easy to get around the stadium and parking is simple. Sad to see whats going on behind the scenes...going to miss events here if nothing changes.
A great hot afternoon for the As v the Twins in a large pro ball park with lots of different seating options and many different kinds of food. Bright colors and video screens everywhere. A real feast for the senses. I'd love to see a concert here
Been an A's fan my whole life. Oakland is a great place for a game, but yes the coliseum is in big need of upgrades and repairs. Not trying to get into the AWFUL ownership, but would absolutely love to see Howard Park, or a rebuild here come to fruition. If nothing else I've had great memories here and was able this year to bring my daughter's to a game at the coliseum. Big up's to all the workforce here for all they have done over the years. No bad memories of this historic park.
This stadium is a bit outdated but it’s pretty great place to catch a ball game once your inside. The seats get a little hot if they are sitting in the sun so be prepared for sunscreen and water. I’d highly recommend walking around and checking out all the watering holes.
One of the oldest ball parks in the country, and unfortunately soon to be without a team. The park is older, but still in good condition. It’s a shame that there is so little support for the baseball team in Oakland. It’s a shame that perfectly good stadiums, like this, are not good enough for baseball teams these days. I’ve taken trips to see games at Fenway and Wrigley and it was wonderful to be there. Everybody loves the history and feel of these temples of baseball. To get to be the treasures that they are, they had to get through the period of their existence where they were considered to be old and obsolete. Will any other ballparks ever join their ranks again? Will we ever be able to appreciate our aging ball parks for the history they contain and be honest with ourselves about the fact that they are still good stadiums?
We went to see Agust D this past week at this venue. There was a huge crowd there for the show AND a sports event going on at a similar time. The staff managed all of it quite well. I was impressed at how quickly we were able to go inside. Our seats were easy to find and relatively clean. The sound and lighting were fantastic and we enjoyed everything about the show. It was credit card only purchases and of course there are things you can't bring and size limits on bags. All listed on the website. The parking lot seemed safe as there were staff and security there directing traffic and such but I wouldn't go walking around at night in the area.
