1st, I’d like to say that I don’t rate, compliment, or complain about businesses. Im from another state and was looking for a good locally owned bar/pub. This place was Exactly what I was hoping for! The staff and regulars were awesome to me as someone from out of state. The food was great for a local bar, definitely better than a lot of other places I’ve eaten at. If you don’t want the National Franchise experience that you can get anywhere, and you’re really looking for a hometown place because you’re visiting here, you should Definitely stop by! Sean was my bartender, did a Great job making me feel welcome, introducing me to a regular, and getting my food order 100% correct!
Very yucky and trashy. They serve sandwiches and clams, couldn't even enjoy a dinner with my father at this desolate establishment, was told by the "bouncer" to wait outside while my father went in and ordered our food as a "compromise." While waiting outside, the door people began talking about how they were iffy about passing a health inspection that same day. That's when I realized it was better than to waste my money here.
A little bias towards older patrons on Tuesday night is my belief. Bartender seemed hesitant to serve me. Nothing outrageously rude but always seemed to non chalantly avoid me. Wasn't drunk or inappropriate in any way. I think he was mad I was free and relaxingService: 2/5
Come here for a good time but make sure you check out what is happening before hand because you will have a different experience different days here. This is an all time Ocala hang out spot. Make sure that you check out the backyard area which most first timers aren’t aware of.Service: 4/5
Nice place with great staff. Tons of whiskey's, and a decent selection of beer with 12 on tap. Live music daily at 10pm with a live dj in the outside patio daily. A couple of fun games, jukebox, punching machine for the drunk. Actually a really nice spot, pleasantly surprised.
Meh. Nothing that really brings you in or back again. Drinks are tiny and not great. If you want a beer and plenty of available seating outside than this is your spot. Everything is raising the bar around downtown literally. They need to find a reason to stay relevant and spend a little money bringing this place up from gross.
Fun place, the entrance is a little misleading. There is a big dance area/bar in the back. Gets very busy, so be patient with the bartenders. They are super chill and nice.
It's your local "neighborhood bar" type of place - minus the neighborhood bar welcoming ambience. Strong stench, like a combination of mildew plus dirty, wet, sour floors behind the bar that haven't been rinsed clean in a very long time assaults you as soon as you step inside. Bathrooms - the men's and the handicapped/family one - are disgusting. It's the type of bathrooom where you don't want to touch the toilet handle, but if you must, you're not at all sure it will actually flush. O'Malley's is on the downtown square in Ocala, a space that the city seems to by trying to update/upgrade, and could be - should be - a perfect little spot to drop in to. Instead it's memorably pathetic. There's nothing like a comfy welcoming bar that feels like a great local hangout. This ain't it. Darryl Gilbert
Dark, quiet, and pleasant. No frills, but we like it that way. The sandwiches are great and come out quickly. I love the chili lime chicken sandwich and hubby always picks the Cuban or the Reuben. Sandwiches come with chips and a nice crisp pickle. Service is always friendly and very attentive. The tables and floor are clean and there is no smoking inside now, which is a huge plus if that is what kept you away in the past. Of course, if you enjoy smoking, they have a clean outdoor area as well. There is a Golden Tee game and Touch Tunes as a bonus!
This is a Great Irish Pub. Great selection of liquor, drafts and bottles. Think wine too. Staff is friendly and serve salads, sandwiches, soup, & seafood. There is an inside alley bar and an outside multi level patio with stage. This is a staple in downtown ocala and obvious hit. If you go downtown you gotta hit Omalleys!
