Virtually impossible to get an appointment! Ridiculous waiting time on hold when calling for an appointment and when some does eventually answer it isn't possible to get one. Earlier this year I had a serious chest infection and the only way to get an appointment was to stand out side from 7am until reception opened at 8am. By that time there were over a dozen people behind me in the queue.
Impossible to get an emergency appointment. Nightmare. I desperately need a doctors note. In pain since over a week. Looking after two kids on my own. Can’t wait for hours at walk in centre. It had never been this bad.
You can tell how bad this surgery is just by looking at their website. A total mess. If you go onto the "Make an Appointment" page they don't even display their telephone number. It's nowhere to be found, just the NHS 111 number. Having registered to use their online services, that's just an endless loop as well. Impossible to get an appointment. God help us!
Absolutely appauling and disgusting customer service!!! My 18month old daughter had a very high temperature 2months ago so i tried calling the surgery to make an appointment only to be told im in the que for 30mins.. I decided to drive to the surgery still on hold and walked into reception to find both receptionist having a conversation amongst themselves. I stood at reception with my poorly child for 3 mins without being acknowledged until they finished their conversation first.. WHAT A JOKE!!! Today i tried calling at 8am but line was busy. I tried again 1 hour later to be told in the que for 40min. The receptionist then told me there was no appointments available for today and they cant book in advance for next day. She brushed me off by saying '' just take her to A&E''. I thought A&E is emergency only and my daughter had a skin condition which was not an emergency but just needed to be looked at for a prescription. IS THIS OUR NHS SYSTEM??? Or the poorly selected staff members that let us down Trying to get an appointment here is like trying to draw blood from a stone. No wonder they have such bad reviews
Utterly useless. Impossible to get an appointment, let alone get through on the phone. On rare occasions when I can get hold of someone, they are rarely able to help. My wife had to call over 200 times this morning. She eventually gave up and called 111, who then got Oakridge Park to call my wife. This GP surgery is not fit for purpose.
Update: MAUREEN ON RECEPTION IS A CREDIT TO THE SURGERY, GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP however past experience it’s not always the best with this surgery. Can rarly get an appointment not even an emergency for young children. Your health care seems irrelevant to this practice. SOME of the reception team can be rude and unwilling to help. Doctors have little compassion, they rush your appointments. I genuinely feel they don’t care much for their patients anymore. it’s a sad world we live in these days.
Can never get an appointment no matter the time you call. Phones ring and ring engaged even before they open at 8am. Just wouldn't bother trying just go else where save the stress
Worst surgery ever, always have to call around 250 times at 8am just to be connected and told their are 20 calls ahead of me and the wait Time is over a hour, by time you get through nothing left all the time! Avoid if I was you, can’t wait to change my doctors
Truly shocking surgery. It is impossible to make an appointment and often I have been forced to take last minute absence from work to attend a hugely over-crowded walk in centre for up to 8 hours at a time to see a nurse/GP and get a prescription. The receptionists are curt and feel it their place to give you medical advice. Grossly unprofessional at every level. I recently received a letter from the practice asking me to contact them and book my 6 monthly blood test. After 27 attempts at getting through and over 5 hours in queue time I was told the next appointment was 12 weeks away!!!!!! To think tax payers pay for this service just to be treated so poorly! Shame on you!
Awful surgery! Been trying to get a GP appointment over 2 weeks been calling every day to be spoken to rudely from the receptionist each time. Trying to call and get through is a joke. Each time it always takes over a minimum of an hour wait! Which on two occasions I've been cut off once I got through. Very frustrating and the staff are no help at all, very disappointed in overall service and support. I understand you are busy, but a little more consideration for others and improve the way you speak to people would be nice?
