First time eating here and I had lunch with my daughter! We sat out on the patio so we could watch the lady golfers from the Epson Tour on the Senator Course at RTJ play the first round of the Guardian Championship! I ordered the Steak Sandwich w/ Fries and she ordered the Chicken Quesadilla. It was all hot, fresh and delicious! The view from the patio is awesome!
The restaurant is in the Marriott hotel. I was part of a large group. We were seated at two different tables of 8. We were greeted and our drink orders were brought out quickly. The appetizers were delicious fried green tomatoes and wickles which were sweet/spicy fried pickles. I ordered salmon with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The salmon had some type of cooked apples on top which I was not crazy about. The salmon was seasoned well with a crust and tender inside. There was a band playing and the music was a little loud at first and one of the waiters asked to turn it down a bit. The restaurant has a bank of windows facing the RLT golf course so you see the rolling landscape which is beautiful while dining. All in all it was a good experience.
The food has a unique southern flair. We weren't staying at the hotel and made a special trip for the conecuh quesadillas. They are so good. Usually the view is amazing as you look out over a RTJ golf course, but they are doing a little renovating right now. Still beautiful though. Renovations are finished now. Just beautiful!Food: 5/5
The restaurant food was horrible. Service was non existent. Took 25 minutes before I could ask for water at my table. Ordered the crab cakes and arrived burnt. Left the restaurant and had dinner off location. Next day attended the wedding and went to my comfortable room. Tried the restaurant again via room service. Ordered hamburger and fries and wings and cheese cake. Hamburger was overcooked and cold and so salty I had to throw it away. Wings were Ordered naked and arrived cold and over cooked. Cheese cake was good but about as wide as my thumb. $40 meal to expensive for what I recieved. Don't waste your time with that restaurant go out to eat. I was told that the $20 breakfast buffet was ok. So after looking at some of the other reviews. Thier real chefs must have been on
How surprisingly good. Ate at the Oak Tavern for the first time tonight with my wife for Valentines day. It was a Buffet and I was, of course curious what they were going to offer, the menu was outstanding. They had prime rib, bacon wrapped salmon, chicken, mashed potatoes, asparagus, fine cheeses and chocolate covered strawberries. The service was outstanding and the Chef’s were amazing and proud of their food. You name it they had it, and it exceptional. Our server Elizabeth made our night memorable. Thank you Parking: Plenty of parking
Place was great and surprisingly well priced for the quality of food. I really enjoyed the medium burger and the bar was nice... they had live music on Friday and they were pretty good. The outside featured firepits and everyone was so attentive. This is definitely a place to eat if your staying in the hotel and if your not you should probably check it out.
We have found the absolute best brunch/lunch spot! Service was excellent, very attentive and a joy to interact with. Food was INCREDIBLE and the atmosphere was comfortable and attractive. We even experienced some talented piano playing during our visit. We also can't wait to try the patio area soon!Food: 5/5
We had the fried green tomatoes, seasoning and sauce were good, tomatoes were a little watery..but all over good. Then we split the fish tacos, fresh fish, good toppings. Needs a tad more seasoning..but would definitely order again. The chicken fried steak was really good with mash potatoes and we got street corn. Street corn wasn't my favorite. Our waitress Whitney was great and fast and attentive. Tables were not crowded together which is nice..will definitely visit again. Kid-friendliness: A lot of room, tables are not crowded together Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room to move a wheelchair around
It was our first time going, the food and atmosphere was wonderful. They have a live band, that sounded good. There's a bar. Our waitress was great. The prices for the food was fair. There is outdoor seating also.
A group of us go every Sunday for lunch and are celebrating a birthday there tonight. Love the live piano music. Service is exceptional and the food is delicious. They want to please!!Food: 5/5
