Opening in 1992 as the Village School, the school and mission grew until a major expansion in 2002 extended the curriculum to 4k-12 and Oakbrook Preparatory School emerged. Thanks to others joining Mrs. Moore (our founder) and inspiring others, the school grew while carrying on the original Charlotte Mason philosophy. As a non-denominational school, Oakbrook Prep strives to develop innovative thinkers and leaders for the 21st century. Students are also encouraged to learn through international exchange programs. Oakbrook Prep does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, national or ethnic origin, or religion.
Built on a foundation of Christian Faith, Oakbrook educates students to be independent learners in a changing world.
460 + students on the 60 acre campus. Typical class size is 15. Oakbrook is an accredited member of the South Carolina Independent School Association. Oakbrook Prep features AP and Honors courses, Middle School and Varsity Athletics, Art, World Languages and Student Clubs.
