Oaklawn Park Cemetery

This funeral home is the worst! We placed an order for my headstone for my daughter in December of last year and we paid off the balance for it in April. We been asking for months if they have started working on it and they said yes each time but come to find out they never order it and it is late augus! This is unacceptable to have some one pay for product and never place the order for it. Whatever you do avoid this place at all cost

Maintenance is very poor. Two months ago I reported an issue needing to be repaired at my parents niche and still not done. I spoke with three representatives and was told maintenance would get to it right away or soon however the issue has not been solved. I asked for an escalation and superintendents is not in the premises and I was promised a call back. Very disappointing and not satisfied with the maintenance sense of urgency. Besides my parents vase, I also found other flower vases on the ground. I’m sorry for the negative rating but I’m trying to get someone’s attention in this matter.

Second time in less than two years their mower has defaced my mother’s headstone. The first time they did replace the plaque at their expense. Let’s see what they do this time. Still, repeating the same mistake is not acceptable, especially given how expensive this place is.

My family has been interned here since 1970s. What used to be pertual care has definitely gone to the wayside. Above my fathers head stone, my baby brother was moved there from the almost gone baby section near the corner of 46a and rhinehart. Cannot even see my brothers headstone. My grandparents are buried a few rows ahead of my father and his headstone has been shaved from a lawn mower..im so disappointed.

My parents are buried here. The grounds are beautiful. However, the upkeep is lacking. The granite around their headstone and the granite around my Father's military marker is cracked. I have requested to have it fixed three times in the last 90 plus days, beginning on January 18th. However, the office staff, Ms. Smith, has not ensured its repair. I also asked the Sales Manager on Feb 8th, 2021 during my Mom's interment to have the granite repaired and the vase unstuck from its stored position. He said it would be done in one week. A month later, it wasn't completed. Also bought to their attention that the area my Moms urn was interred was sinking... At this point in time, none of my concerns have been addressed. I called the Corporate office to file a formal complaint. They have been responsive to my concerns and hopefully it will be resolved shortly. This has been very troubling and stressful... Update: After three months the repairs were done !! I am thankful for those that assisted in getting the issues rectified. Also noticed several of the graves in and around the area has been cleared of grass growing over them.

Robin was super nice and courteous. He was attentive and worked with my family very well. Anything we asked we got, any concerns we had, he attended to.Excellent service. We were so pleased we started arrangements for our mom.

Very happy I decided to go with Oaklawn Cemetery for my moms burial. Her spot is beautiful and right under a tree but Julee Wagner is the real reason I'm writing this review. She has been more than helpful and she goes above and beyond to help me with everything. I highly recommend her if you are interested in oaklawn.

Very disappointed with what I see there, how the supervisor treat employees, and this is one of the reasons this cemetery doesn’t run well.
