Oakridge School is Nebo School District’s only self standing school for severe/profound developmentally disabled students. The school is located on the Springville High School campus. Current enrollment at Oakridge is 29 students. Oakridge has a staff of 1 half-time Principal, 1 secretary, 3 teachers, 10 technicians and 4 unique technicians (techs with disabilities) and a full time nurse. Oakridge also houses the offices of Jason Shelley, SLP and Candi Bown, NSD Audiologist.
Oakridge has various Itinerant district personnel that visit the school throughout the week. The services offered are Speech, Vision, OT/PT and Intervention Services.
Oakridge starts its school day at 9:00 AM and classes end at 2:45. The students are bused to Oakridge from Payson, Elkridge, Salem, Spanish Fork and Springville.
The mission at Oakridge is to administer the best educational environment for our developmentally disabled students. The faculty and staff are mindful of the mental and physical disabilities of each student, treating these students with dignity, respect and positive expectations.
