VERY BAD MANAGEMENT!!! Daniel Glavin is INCOMPETENT! Take Your Loved Ones Elsewhere!!!
We love to visit cemeteries because they offer so much history and can tell you a lot about the city and the people who live/lived there. Oakwood reminds me of St Louis in New Orleans. The cemetery is divided up by faith and by family, so, again, it offers a lot to see regarding the history. Be sure to visit the grave for Diamond Bessie as well as the grave of the two outlaws marked with a simple chain between two posts. I'll not include the stories here so you will go visit and learn them there.
A lot of history within this cemetery. It is a nice place to relax, as the tree cover lets you almost escape the traffic of the city. It's a nice place to walk and run. I've seen students string up hammocks and slack-lines as well. There are some geocaches in there.
My soul mate is now laid to rest here...I visit him often and the deer, they sit as if protecting the headstones.. Go in the morning it's much easier to navigate where you are going...Perfect place now that you are there Billy...Be at peace...
Once I got lost here, and I found Muslim cemetery right in front of the mosque.
This cemetery is more beautiful, greener, and bigger than most public parks I've been to.
My grandfather did not have a headstone, so the staff was extremely helpful in finding his location within this massive Cemetery
Went here for our gothic inspired engagement photos. It was perfect!!!
I definitely wanna see what happens after midnight I wanna take pictures and see what goes on because that would be really cool if I can see something or hear someone talks to me.
Cool place to go, don't go there when it's dark, lots of homeless people.
