The worst customer service and patient care that I have ever received in my life. Staff are overwhelmed and cranky. Good luck if you ever need a medication refill or have a question for the doctor. You can expect a hold time of 20-30 minutes at a time, being transferred multiple times and a staff member assuring you that they will call you back. No one will call you back and when you call them to follow up they will have NO idea what you are talking about and you will have to explain everything all over again. It does not seem that anyone is documenting phone calls or patient communications. There is zero accountability. If you have an appointment you will be asked to come 15 minutes early. You can expect a long wait in both waiting room and the exam room. Good thing you came early!
This is my regular office and has been for the last 2 years. The staff and my doctor has always been very friendly. I have had no issues getting appointments or prescriptions. I am not sure why it has all these negative reviews but they have always been excellent for me.
Oasis Family medicine used to be a good doctor’s office before SCL acquired them. I am very, very disappointed in the terrible office they’ve become. The new doctors, PAs and nurses are very young, inexperienced. Patient wait times are up to a hour just to see one, and most treat with over the counter drugs instead of prescribing an antibiotics. I’ve spent the last 6 hours of my sick day trying to track down my missing my prescription and reroute the one filled at the wrong location. 4 messages left without a response. Going here is a waste of one’s time and money.
I am a new patient with this facility. I was really excited because Amy Scanlan came highly recommended by one of my clients who is also a Physician. I had never seen Dr Scanlan but I have met with Gretchen. She was wonderful during my initial check up and was hopeful for a good plan for my health. I have been trying to get a follow up for my check up as well as my prescriptions. It is close to impossible to get communication from their office. The gentleman that answers the phone sounds like he hates his job when he answers the phone. Another lady i think her name is Jill is just plain RUDE. I think she hates her job as well. Erin in the front was the only helpful one and went over and beyong to correct the aweful service her peers provided. She was great. Ive been tryimg to get a hold of the physician assistant Anastacia for over a month and left numerous messages but never got a call back. Finally talked to her today and she just told me she never got a message from me. SMH. She said she was going to send my prescription in. Called the pharmacy after mins. They said no call from my doctor. Called doctor back and insisted on speaking to anastacia again. Told her pharmacy didnt get a call. She said she called but pharmacy wasnt answering kept going to VM. I asked if she left a message, she said NO. Im about to lose my mind. I had to 3way my pharmacy just to get my prescription done. SMH. Terrible facility. I see now with their reviews that its not a good one. Dont go here!!!! Currently searching for a new physician. Dr. Scanlan, i heard you are a great physician. I hope you can do an audit with your staff to offer better service for you patients.
I had been going to Oasis since 1999. That all changed today. A month before I showed for my appt and was told i was 45 minutes late. So i rescheduled on the spot and put it in my calendar and I re verified with the receptionist. So today when I was again told that I was 45 minutes late. My life is constant meetings. I am never late and I never miss mark them. There was no polite discussion from the receptionist, she ignored me so I asked for all my medical history and I am gone. Do not go here. The soul of the boutique practice it was is dead.
This place is terrible. It runs more like a clinic than a family doctor, so do not go here if that is what you are looking for. Both the nurse practitioner and doctor talked to my fiance it was his appointment like he was a child. When my fiance got frustrated and started asking questions, the doctor said, "have a good night" and walked out. His prescription was never filled either. I am trying to find a way to make a complaint to the upper management.
I booked an appointment online 2 months ago. Put in all my insurance info while booking. Got multiple messages and reminders to not miss my appointment and showed up 20minutes early at 7am. One look at my insurance card and receptionist says "Sorry to do this to you. But we're not taking new patients." My fault? I booked online and apparantly they're not reliable. NO! This office is not reliable. All appointments are listed in their portal. Whether they're new patients or what insurances they have ALL can be found in the portal. I was the 3rd or so receptionist said person to be turned away for this reason. When making calls and emails it takes one sec to check what insurance I have. Just cancel my appointment if this is an ongoing issue instead of wasting my time and health. The standards of Medical care does not apply to this practice.
This is a very uncaring, unfriendly and non personal doctors office. Everything they do is in order to bill your insurance company and you while providing absolutely no personal care. I was not alerted when our Dr left the practice. And after, never saw the same person or was treated as someone they wanted to see or have as a patient in this practice. We will no longer be patients here.
Please do not go to this office for your overall health. It can cost you dearly. I had work lab work done that was supposed to be sent to another office however this did not take place. When I called to ask what was taking so long for my results I was told that the lab didn't send the results over. I called again only to find out that the staff at Oasis didn't send the sample the twice and asked me to come in to give another sample. Wow! Most of the staff is rude and they never return your calls. One of the gentleman that answers the phone is very unprofessional and rude, and lacks greeting skills for that job. DON'T GO, DON'T GO, DON'T GO. It isn't until people start demanding better customer service and finding other offices that provide better customer services that force companies to either improve or accept a loss of income.
I have been going here for 4 years and have had wonderful experiences until my appointment yesterday with Judy the PA. I have broken or bruised my tailbone snowboarding and have already gone to the ER when it happened. I went in to see Judy so that she could advise me on how to care for it and what to expect as far as recovery goes. I also needed a note for work because i do a very physical job and I needed to make sure i had a note. Judy proceeded to jab my tailbone pretty aggressively to the point where i was jumping up to get away from her. She then informed me that she would only give me a note for a week and never told me how long to expect to be in pain. or what i can do to help it get better sooner. I also asked her about some weight gain after i quit smoking and she let me know to join weight watchers, which i'm already on, and then said well it's not hard it's obviously what you are putting into your body. I then let her know that my shoulder has been bugging me so she rotate my shoulder for all of 1 second and told me to take Ibuprofen before i use my shoulder, so everyday?? Then i explained that i'm getting some new food allergies and wanted to be referred to an allergist and she said "well just stop eating what you are allergic to." I rarely go to the doctor and maybe i'm wrong but i expect someone to listen to me and give me some kind of advice. I left there feeling bullied, judged, and in more pain than when i arrived. The nurses here are so wonderful and Toni is wonderful but honestly i won't give another dime to a place that employs someone so rude and uncaring.
