Dr Britt Lacher was truly a lifesaver. Her compassion and decency is unsurpassed. I was treated with kindness and respect by Dr. Lacher and the nurse. They worked well as a team to meet medical needs and make me feel comfortable and cared for when I was concerned. She quickly figured out my diagnosis when others could not. I highly recommend her and Ocean Care Center.
I have visited this care center on numerous occasions and while the nurses, exam techs, registration ladies are all pleasant...I have a complaint about one specific doctor. Dr. Britt Lacher is easily one of the rudest doctors I have ever come across and she should not be working in medicine. My first experience with her was a couple years ago when I had a COVID scare and I had to come here because my primary was away and urgent care dropped my insurance. She proceeded to tell me she needed to check my throat and flipped out when I pulled my mask down, saying she wanted to do it. Really?? Today's visit 8/25/23 was just as brutal. I came in for a massive headache and I was unsure if it was related to my epilepsy or not. I attempted to inform her that my neurologist also recently dropped my insurance and she immediately said "Go to Jefferson hospital in Philly". She has horrible bedside manner. She kept cutting me off every time I tried to speak and also was supposed to order a CT scan on my head that never happened, as well as sent a prescription to my pharmacy that I never even took before an anti-dizzy medicine called Meclizine. Aside from all of that, she NEVER examined me and the nurse did everything, including discharging me. The ER was not even close to busy- maybe four cars in the parking lot so what was her excuse for not even coming back?? The only good thing she did was give me an IV of Reglan and Toradol, and within an hour, my headache was gone. I still do prefer this facility if I don't need to go to the main hospital, but someone needs to teach this doctor some manners and how to treat patients better!!
I recently sent my injured, elderly relative to the Ocean Care Center. It turned out that her injury was possibly life threatening. If not for the compassionate, prompt, and skilled care she received, she may have had severe consequences. Nurse Janet, PA Anthony Burdo and Emergency Physician Dr. Lacher worked swiftly to move my family member into a critical care area and worked tirelessly to treat her injuries and render care. We are beyond grateful that this satellite ED was open and the staff are immediately available to stabilize and treat severe injuries. Dr. Lacher and Anthony called us and kept us informed and we are forever grateful for their patience and concern.
Don’t bother unless you’re dying. Or in that case just go to the hospital. Took my wife here for severe back pain to the point where she couldn’t walk. They Took my $100 copay immediately, then we sat in the waiting room for at least 1 hour, finally got called to a room and sat there for another hour. We saw a nurse 1 time for 1 minute who asked her to change into a gown and said the doctor would be right in. After 2 hours we walked out. Nobody even noticed or seemed to care. This place is a joke and they charge as if they are a hospital.
It was Easter Sunday and I had a lot of pain . I didn’t know what was wrong with me . From the moment I walked in the experience was excellent- The PA Michelle and Nurse and MRI tech were absolutely an amazing team . Such a wonderful experience! They were caring and completely understanding of the situation. Hands down best experience I have ever had at an emergency Walk in Facility. They all deserve raise !
got billed $2000 for "Emergency Department Visit Low Mdm" what an absolute joke. was in there for less than an hour and some dope put a splint on my arm... They billed me $1000 for that too!?? If i knew i was getting robbed id have just waited out the pain and gone to the orthopedics. Absolutely disgusting what you can charge people.
Having had a very disappointing experience at a prior HMH Urgent care, I am pleased with my experience here in Point. The staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. The 2 nurses that helped me with my treatments, Ashley and Sheila were excellent, couldn't ask for a better patient experience for an ER/Urgent care.
I definitely don't like this place because the doctor are very very rude and their didn't touch me at all I definitely appreciate how I was treated there at all the doctor didn't take my illness seriously at all
Been here several times over the years and always had a positive experience - stitches, broken bones. So I'll give three stars although yesteday's experience was more like 1-2 stars. Took my son for severe abdominal pain, our fear was appendicitis, but we hoped to rule it out rather than drive to a large hospital. Well it turns out, Ocean Care does NOT have ultrasound capability! Waste of an ER co-pay... they did a blood draw and were very concerned about his high white blood cell count so were told to drive him immediately to Jersey Shore pediatric ER. Doctor advised against an ambulance because it would take too long! Healthcare overall is a disaster. And we will likely be billed TWICE for ER visits! What a waste of money. It states on their web-site that Ocean Care handles abdominal pain. How can they state that when they don't even do ultrasounds? Also, we waited and waited for care after the nurse did vitals and another entered info in the system, my son ended up vomiting and although I'd looked around the room for a basin, there was NOTHING in the exam room, not even in the cabinets. So he vomited profusely all over the floor over the edge of the bed. What kind of ER exam room doesn't have vomit basins?! Ocean Care, do better. Get an ultrasound machine. Stock your exam rooms.
I've been to this facility on a few occasions and had positive experiences with staff. Unfortunately my recent visit was with Britt Lacher MD & she was horrible. She shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine. I came in for severe pain by my left ovary bc my dr suggested I go to ER bc office was closed until Monday. She ordered a CT scan and told me I didn't have a kidney stone. Great news, but my dr was expecting an ovary issue. Dr lacher tried to tell me scar tissue my ovary would've shown up on the scan. It absolutely would not & my dr confirmed that when I saw him. She told me to take some Tylenol at home. I was doubled over in pain.....she didn't care. Even my nurse looked surprised that I was given nothing. She said she doesn't give pain medicine. I told her I was seeing my regular dr in 2 days She even asked if my dr really told me to go to the ER for pain. I offered her his phone number so she could confirm. She didn't bother to take it. I ended up leaving in horrible pain & passed out later that evening. When I ended up in a different hospital and had an actual doctor they did find a cyst on my ovary. If any patient sees this woman in this facility, please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. It's a shame bc the other staff had been wonderful in the past.
