Had a blast spending our anniversary here! The food was delicious and our waiter Damon was one of the friendliest waiters we have met in this whole trip. We even received some souvenirs, which was so thoughtful! Food came out fast. The pecan pie was delicious!Food: 5/5
My husband and I were in New Orleans to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. The food was so melt in your mouth delicious. The best gator, not chewy. Our waitress Fiona was friendly and all the staff were nice they sang Happy Birthday to me and gave me dessert Bread pudding. Great experience will return when in the area.Food: 5/5
Today’s visit to Oceana was overall good! It was not great, but instead good as the food was above average, our hold time was not the worst, our customer service was pretty good on Kevin’s behalf as he was very timely and personable, and the overall atmosphere was decent as well. We ordered the Red Fish with the Crawfish sauce; it is the restaurants special, and it came with some vegetables similar to greens and mash potatoes which were pretty good as well! We also ordered the Gator Tail Bites; both blackened and fried and those were about a 4 out of 5 as well; good flavor, great texture, similar to chicken! Great pick! We also ordered the soft tail crab and it was NOT worth $10…I do not recommend it for anybody if they are wanting crab, so please be mindful. Overall, it was an EXTREMELY BUSY DAY and we waited about 15 minutes to be seated which was expected. The music was cool, and the food came out pretty quickly as well! It cost about $56 between the 2 meals, and overall was a decent visit. We would definitely visit again!
First and foremost the waiter was well trained and educated on the items on the menu. Very cool atmosphere with a unique , energetic vibe , awesome music and cool lighting . The food came out hot and fresh. Dessert was delicious, especially for a person who never orders desserts. Drinks were not that strong so don’t get double shots. All in All the food is 10 out of 10! Customer Service 10 out of 10. Awesome Family Fun Environment! Kid-friendliness: They made availability for children and also accounted space for strollers.
Excellent service and delicious food. We had the blackened fish with mashed potatoes and greens and also the blackened po-boy chicken sandwich and everything was superb. The drinks were really good too. The staff were so nice and super friendly. Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids menu.
The Oceana Grill is a good stop to make if you're looking for good food at an average price and don't mind eating in a dimly it dining room. The service is honestly only OK. The hostesses seemed like they were "over it" and ready to go home, but our server was friendly and attentive. The food was pretty good, but not anything unique - most of the menu items were the same things you can try at many of the other restaurants in the quarter. It's worth stopping by if you're in the area.
Overall the food was good. The Caesar salad with grilled chicken was another issue. The Caesar salad was served with a paltry slice of spiced chicken and what looked like plenty of white end pieces of the Romaine lettuce. The few prices of green lettuce looked past its use by date. For the price of the salad, Oceana Grill could make a better looking salad. Service was good. If ordering a salad please be aware of the quality.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Oceana Grill in New Orleans. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the food was delicious. I ordered the gator tail bites appetizer and the Cajun Jambalaya Pasta entree, and both were cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The only downside was that there was a long wait for a table, so I recommend making a reservation or going early. Overall, I highly recommend Oceana Grill for anyone looking for a great meal in the French Quarter.
We had a great time here. Our waiter was the best and helped our experience be more enjoyable. We just did not know what to order. We wished to try everything. He helped us out. So we sampled many dishes and shared. We had oysters, alligator, pasta, duck, shrimp. Loved everything. We had the kitchen window just across our table so we watched how the Oceana Oysters were made and it was very impressive. Worth the show of the Chef's cooking. The duck was unforgettable. The alligator was soft and spicy. The po'boy one of the best seasoned we tried in NOLA. The Hurricane cocktail was delicious.
The start of the trip we stopped at Oceana Grill and it set Nola off. The service was good. When dropped off the driver said at least it’s not a long line so I guess we were lucky for that but when you walk in it has 3 levels from what I was able to see. The ambiance had some historical photos and a feel to Nola homes with the hardwood floors and brick. The food was spectacular. The drinks were all good. Highly recommend!
