Oceanside Library (NY)

This place is one of my favorite spots in Oceanside and feels like a cozy haven. A ton of books, the friendliest staff you can imagine, and so many programs to join. There’s just an energy to the place that makes you feel right at home. A new library is in the process of being built but even their interim set up is fantastic.

The best library! Everyone is extremely helpful, friendly and kind! That's very rare especially today! Thanks to all the staff ! Thank you Debbie and Elizabeth for being extremely professional and caring! Much success to the Oceanside Library staff!

Love the library! All the people who work here are so kind, helpful, and friendly! They made it so easy to reserve books. Items requested can be placed in the lobby for fast, easy, and no contact pickup. And they have never failed to get your request timely and accurate! Thank you to all who work here!!!

We seriously have the nicest librarians in Oceanside! We feel so lucky to have this amazing place to go in our community. They always have events for kids and adults. Great selection. So helpful.

i literally love the library. i went to print out some pages and they were so nice to help me out. no price or anything u just had to walk in and do what u gotta do. that’s why i love this place

I love the library! And that's why I've given it five stars. The staff are wonderful and helpful. Now, if I were rating it on how the Trustees have been operating it for the past 9 months I would give them two, if that. I can't imagine they've ever met full capacity to the point where social distancing wouldn't be achievable. The library is quite large. I just wish that jerk, Iovino, would open the doors to the public without appointment. They've been at a "limited" open stage since July and he had an obnoxiously enormous budget passed during a pandemic which I'm sure he's using to line his pockets.

It’s a nice library, I’ve been going here for a long time. The only thing that I wish this library had was more areas for group studying and more tables/ chairs. Sometimes there are no free spaces to sit. Overall it’s very nice and the people always greet me and say goodbye which is very nice.

LOVE the library, wished they had more books there instead of borrowing them from other libraries but the wait isn't to long and their quality of service and hospitality makes it okay

Great selection of books and videos. The kids classes are fun and educational. The librarians are very helpful to find what you are looking for when a school project is due.
