I won't give a perfect score on this because I think the pricing is unnecessarily high. For any child 2-12 the price is $31.95. For adults the price is $41.95 for adults. An adult is anyone over the age of 18. Why would I pay adult pricing for my 13yr old and then also be charged for my 2-4 year old who won't remember the trip in 2 weeks time? Kids don't start truly and deeply forming memories until 4-7 years old AND kids are not adults until they are 18 by state law. Why make it harder than it needs to be for families to be able to afford to take their kids out of the house and do something educational? Pricing aside the aquarium is nice. They have a great variety of sea life to look at and they did a great job on their displays. It was definitely very crowded at the twilight session and that did affect the overall experience. The stingray petting area people were shoulder to shoulder. The water play table people were standing shoulder to shoulder. If we could afford to take all of our children during day time hours I imagine it would have been a slightly more enjoyable trip.
Wow this probably one of my favorite aquariums that I visited. It has super friendly staff and very interactive. Some of the interactive displays were touching the Russian sturgeons and see crustaceans. They also offer virtual reality experiences in the odyssey voyager tour. I would definitely come back in the future.
I would give this place a 5 star if a lot of the exhibits we're actually open. It's amazing place for all ages. Clean and a excellent assortment of fish. The 1st restroom inside the building was excellent, even if you don't have to use it you definitely need to go in so you can see the live sharks. The only drawback that I have is paying full price when the main exhibits I came to see were closed. The birds were off exhibit which was the main attraction I wanted to see since I'm a huge parrot lover, The otters were closed, The sturgeon area was shut down, And the main touch pool was closed. They were doing guided tours for kids, so they were much too busy to ask or answer any questions anybody else had. I can understand if you need to clean something and take an animal off exhibit but to shut down so many exhibits all at the same time is not a good system. I came all the way from Michigan to see this exhibit I expected more. Also pay close attention to what you pay for things in the gift shop I was overcharged $4 not a huge deal but something to consider.
Went to the first annual fish and sips. Had a great time! Very relaxing and enjoyable. They had a person playing the violin in a quiet area with tables and chairs and tea lights. Loved it. Everything was closed outside of the aquarium though. Would have liked it more if other places were open.
What a great place for family fun, a date, or school trip. This aquarium has many fish tanks to view as well as a rotation stage which takes you through four large tanks sharing information and includes the shark tank. Hands on petting of the small sea life for the little ones. If you go at 4:30 pm you can get tickets half off which is a great deal and there are not too many people at that time. There is also a very large area before you go into the aquarium we’re you can visit other local shops and let your kids play. Follow me for more places to visit and explore.
Such a great place to spend time with family, individually, or as a group. There is something for everyone! My son’s favorite parts were the touching pools there were three total that we saw. My favorite was Voyager, the rotating aquarium. It was such a fun, unique experience. When you go, make sure you don’t skip this part. You won’t be sorry.
Excellent place to visit and also educate children in the life of the sea creatures. Love the carousel go round to have private time observing the fish. I would recommend the aquarium but cost is so high which is understandable to maintain the facility. Budget-friendly is after 4:30 at half price.
This is a nice place to spend a few hours. It is set up so you can walk through and see everything. We went after 430 which was perfect. Not too crowded and we were able to see everything. The sea odysea tour at the end is cool. You get to see a number of exhibits floor to ceiling tanks sharks sea lions turtles rays and big groupers.
My kid been begging to go here. It was worth the drive to AZ! We loved the rotating aquarium and the escalators with full 360 aquariums. The best was those restrooms as you wash your hands you can watch sharks too we spent about 2.5 hours there walking around and seeing all the exhibits.
Aquariums in the deep desert .. AMAZING !! We have a few Aquariums here in the Phoenix Valley, but this one - in my opinion - is the nicest of them all. It is HUGE !!! All of the creatures here, great and small, seem to be in great health and active. It is wonderful to see so much. These are things we do not have in the desert. Take the kids, it will be a special day for them. Memories Galore, of strange creatures you only get to see on TV. This place is special ... go in large groups to share the fun and excitement.
