Ogden Health Advantage

I wish I could put 0 stars. I went to Dr. Ogden I use the term Dr. loosely the only reason I went was to do bloodwork and do a physical THATS IT. He said he spent 70 minutes with me, lol.. I was there for 70 minutes but only 30min maybe was in front of the doctor. so, hes over billing the insurance by about 40 min. no wonder our rates are so high. hes rude and condesending. please dont waste your time with this yahoo. Even the older lady in front of me was upset and riled up. and she had to be a 100..Were supposed to get better going to the doctor, not leave worse off.. Forgot to add, I never got the physical or bloodwork done as intended. I guess he wanted another appointment to bill me. if you notice Ogden, claims the negative reviews are spam, I can assure you they are all probably legit. I still can't believe the way I was treated.

When I enter the office, I'm greeted with a warm welcome by the receptionist. After checking in, I am taken to the laboratory side for drawing blood. Most offices have you go across town to an outside lab and the results are viewed days later. But Dr. Ogden has a lab right in his office and has my results in his hand as he walks into the exam room. He is smiling as he greets me. For the next 30-45 minutes Dr. Ogden will spend with his patients whatever time they need he focuses his attention on me, takes my questions and discusses with me my medical conditions. He is an excellent teacher and he uses a white board to diagram how the body should work and teaches me about what happens when things don't work as they should. Dr. Ogden is the quintessential doctor's doctor with a brilliant mind, a broad understanding and capable application of modern medicine along with the gift of working with people. Some might be piqued by what they feel is a prolonged wait time, but I have rarely waited longer than 1 hour and I believe the return-on-investment here is more than worth it. I give Dr. Ogden and his staff my highest recommendation!

Dr.Ogden is one of the rudest doctor I ever met doesn’t care about his patients, made me wait two hours to get seen didn’t apologize. When checking out he told the checkout desk that I lied about my symptoms and wasted his time so extremely rude don’t come here to see him!

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Ogden's. I'm giving him two stars because most of her experiences with him have been positive. But recently she caught COVID. Dr. Ogden's office prescribed hydroxycloroquine for her. This malaria medication has been shown in numerous large clinical trials to not be an effective treatment for COVID, while having potentially numerous serious side effects, so that the CDC specifically cautioned against its use, over two years ago. My confidence that Doctor Ogden puts medical care and patient safety over political fads has plummeted significantly, to the point that I'll be advising my wife to seek a different provider.

Professional and personable doctors office where the staff knows you by name. Quick to process requests and claims for swift medical resolutions.

Aubri is the employee who usually helps me upon arriving. She is professional and cheerful. Caitlin or Ashton usually visit with me after I go into the examination room. She or he takes my vital statistics before the Physician Assistant comes in. Carrie in Billing has helped me a few times regarding my insurance and payments. She always answers questions and explains things thoroughly and professionally. Finally, Awesome MAITE Physician Assistant is so thoughtful, thorough, polite and professional. She never tries to rush me through the appointment; this one aspect I really appreciate. The first time I had an annual check up, it was a little embarrassing because she needed to ask a couple of questions due my age. Nevertheless, Maite knew just how to put at ease. Therefore, about halfway through my visit, I no longer felt uneasy in any way regarding any issues. MAITE is simply SUPERB in every detail. I hope she works here until I am dead and gone. She is the type of person who will always treat each patient like family. You will not anyone better to serve you in the medical arena!!! All of the employees are professional. Always quick, friendly, and supportive staff. Using Jeffrey as my primary for almost a year now, so far so good.

Dr. Ogden is very upbeat and personable. With the help of his staff, I had the most complete battery of tests, right in his office, that I think I have ever received for an "annual physical". Then, when the results were back, Dr. Ogden took the time to go over them with me personally in great detail, pointing out the areas where I could improve and giving me lifestyle suggestions that could make a difference. He also sent me home with copies of the results so I can refer back to his suggestions. I'm grateful to have a doctor with whom I feel safe to share my concerns and who I believe that genuinely cares about my well-being.

10/5 stars I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am for Dr. Ogden, his PA Scott, and all of the other staff members who work in this wonderful office. Besides Achieve Health, my experience with healthcare in Utah has been disappointing if not downright infuriating. Every urgent care is run by callous practitioners who refuse to do anything beyond viral testing, diagnosis, and recommending vaccination. Specialists won't even see you and just pawn all of their appointments off on their PAs and NPs as though someone with LESS medical training in there speciality than a family practitioner is going to be more help than a PCP. Even the ER where my wife was taken after her first seizure was more concerned about a covid test than the fact that I had witnessed her seizure. I should clarify that I am a paramedic with years of experience. I have witnessed and treated many seizures. But I digress. As far as Achieve Health goes, I would not believe you if you told me there was a better PCP combo in all of Utah than Dr. Ogden and his PA, Scott. These guys have always listened to myself and my wife and made sincere efforts to make sure we received the treatment and support we needed. They have helped us through some of the most challenging struggles of our lives and given us fantastic referrals for things that required a specialist. Unlike nearly everyone else in healthcare in Utah, the team at Achieve Health are interested in treating patients rather than diagnosing illnesses. They have always been sympathetic to my opinion and any reasonable requests that I have made. Most recently, I had a bad encounter with an Urgent Care outside of Achieve Health's operating hours. This Urgent Care basically tested me for covid positive and said "good luck," even though I had lost hearing in one ear, the other was ringing, I was having shortness of breath, my heart rate was high, and my O2 sat was low. They even refused to prescribe an oral steroid even though they are widely accepted as a treatment for the covid inflammatory response. The next morning, I called and had a video appointment with Scott an hour later and then an hour after that, I picked up an arsenal of prescriptions that would make any virus sweat. A few hours later, the only indication that I ever had covid was a sore throat. The team at Achieve Health know what they are doing and will do everything they can to help you. As a healthcare professional, I can absolutely vouch for their knowledge and character.

Always a pleasure visiting with Dr. Ogden! Friendly office staff, reasonable wait considering he does not see me until he has lab results in his hands when he sees me. Always a teacher with time to review lab values and to explain how they effect my health. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Ogden since 2001 when we moved to Orem and we are so pleased to be under his care!
