We went with our old car club and had a great time. Cliff, who runs the society, is very knowledgeable about local history and presents it so as not to be boring.
The build was restored and very nice. Would be a great place for a reception. The museum has lots to see. Some very interesting history.
Very helpful. Went looking for several family records. They went above and beyond. Their museum is small but very nice. I would like to return to take a longer look at the exhibitsVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Visited this place for a wedding. They didn't cater the event, I thought that they did. It was Chipotle. Anyway the facility was lovely and the event was special.
My husband and I love this museum. There are so many cool things including the Hoosier Boy and Hoosier Girl Speed Boats. The staff is always friendly and great to talk to. Highly recommend a visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
The staff and curator are very knowledgeable about the region's history and there is an extensive collection of family trees and historical artifacts. Very laid back with a good history of riverboat life.
Free admission. Give us a try. Lots of improvements in the last year. Many items never on display are on exhibit. Massive renovation to the Clore Wing in process wing dates to 1849. Give us a try. See the famous Hoosier Boy race boat. We even have a two headed cow! Stop in for a visit. We are a small museum with a big heart. We are preserving the past while moving into the future.
A beautiful space for private parties, newly renovated, lots of character. The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming, the collection represents a broad range of local history and culture.
Its perfect for small weddings and is super rustic, also has a lot of information on the history of rising sun. My husband and I would highly recommend it.
Wonderful space for any event. Love the rustic look.
