The Facebook page for the Academic Team at Ohio University Southern, founded in 2000 and currently competing in the Kentucky Collegiate Quick Recall League.
OUSCAT (which stands for the Ohio University Southern Campus Academic Team) was founded in 2000, and has competed in the KCQRL since then. Our team is one of the only open enrollment, regional campus teams in America to compete among major college teams, and we regularly play against schools with much larger enrollments and more established academic reputations.
Sometimes, we even beat them.
Any student at Ohio University Southern is eligible to play on our team. You don't need any prior experience or have to be a trivia expert. You just have to love the game.
The Ohio University Southern Campus Academic Team (OUSCAT) was formed to give students the opportunity to compete in academic competitions on both the intramural and intercollegiate levels and to enhance the ability of the teams competing in regional and national competitions.
The OUSCAT also occasionally assists in organization and development of other local academic quiz competitions on a pre-collegiate (high school and middle school) level.
