A month ago i was taking my fiancee to take a nursing exam. At about 6:30 am. I am a black American, my fiancee is Caucasian. We were arguing about directions and I made a minor traffic error. A police cruiser pulled us over. The officers involved politely asked me where we were headed. During the conversation, i had to go into Co fair to use the bathroom. They allowed me. These two officers were understanding of our predicament and escorted us to the test site. I wish i had got their names. I can't thank them enough. Oil city residents are lucky to have officers who really protect and serve.
It is what it is.
I had a horrible experience with the officers after calling the suicide hotline. They were incredibly rude before helping me get into the ambulance. They lack compassion and overall competence.
Numerous times I've been told they had no officers to send... to a vehicle b&e, a drunk intruder on my porch/driveway, a neighbor's violent domestic dispute, and an aggressive stray dog.
i cant belive our tax dollars are wasted on the chief of police and his outlandish theories! time to reavaluate and bring ocpd back to reality
