Two years ago I thought I was going to have to admit my 9 year old daughter to a residential hospital. I could no longer keep her safe from herself or her family. Her exact diagnosis was Anxiety Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder and Intermittent Explosive Disorder (yeah, that’s a thing) ADHD was up in the air depending on which doctor you talk to. The words I would use to describe her were angry, violent, scary, harmful, time bomb, unpleasant, exhausting. I loved her, liking her was debatable (just being honest).
Medications only made symptoms worse. Doctors were vague about the side affects and basically told me to just live with it. Through natural alternatives my girl is free from all previous diagnosis. Don’t get me wrong, she can still be stubborn and argumentative (she’s a middle schooler). However, the words I now use to describe her are kind, compassionate, creative, insightful, hard worker, funny, oh, and one more…happy. I love her and I definitely like her.
She continues to have a simple IEP because her organization skills are still a bit lacking. Her anxiety can still poke it’s head through depending on the situation. However, since we are handling this naturally we are in control of the the situation.
Essential oils are the main equation in our quest for health. These oils were created by God who is supreme. His designs are perfect.
