The cooks lovely demeanor and beauty makeup for any complaints that follow. The place was fairly empty on our visit during a random stop across the state line from Florida. The waitress was certainly attentive from the moment we entered and sat us quickly, anywhere we wanted to sit. We asked for recommendations and the cheese burgers were ordered. As mentioned the place was almost empty though it took somewhere between 30 to 45 minutes for the food to be produced. We specifically asked for medium to medium well burgers and you know what came out. Well done burgers...no way would we wait for them to be remade so we began to eat. The plate presentation was good, the fries looked and tasted fresh, the topping were fresh, my partner loved the choice of bread given, no complaints other than the wait and the burgers being well done. Other observations made, were the water tasted unfiltered, no hand towels in the men's bathroom and it was a beautiful GA day in the mid 90s and the inside temp was 84 degrees. The buffet was offered several times before our order was taken but there wasn't enough people eating in this restaurant to deem that option safe, either way the cook was amazing despite the wait and the overcooked patties though it was worth it, we left full in stomach and in spirit, thanks for the experience.
My fiancé and I came to eat lunch here after spending the morning at the Wildlife Preserve. It was a great choice, and one I would recommend to anyone in the area. The buffet is wonderful, all the food tasted fresh and was plenty hot. There were many options for sides and entrees, most of the classic southern dishes were present. Definitely reminded me of back home in Kentucky. Service was good, and the atmosphere is what you'd expect of a small-town, local restaurant. Price was about $14 a person, which is a great value for what you get. Would definitely love to go back.
Honest review This is a buffet, the food was mostly fried, and fried well. I wish it had a little more flavor but they have plenty of hot sauce. Salad bar was well stocked. Tea was skunked Service was just ok, kinda treated us like we wasn’t from around there. Bathrooms and dining area was clean. Price was fair. Would I come back….. yes, but I’d hope the service and tea will improve. If you like honest reviews, please hit the like and or follow button. Have a great day!!! Kid-friendliness: It’s a buffet
Great getaway dining at it's best. Mouth watering foods that will have you slapping your mama. Home cooking at its best. I have never did I say never had a bad meal yet. Yum is all I need to say . Check it out for yourself.
Some places are just not my cup-o-tea. Nothing wrong with the food, just nothing great... Don't let my opinion dissuade someone from trying it. I've just got to have something with bolder flavors. Too much "from a can" cooking isn't going to garner a lot of my attention I'll give it another shot and try a burger or something else that's not from the buffet.
After traveling all day, we decided to stop because we had not been in awhile. It happened to be a seafood and steak buffet. The steak was cooked outside on a grill by a nonprofessional cook. Look like they grab off the street..literally. My husband enjoyed the seafood. I chose steak because of shellfish allergies and don't know what was cooked together or separate. We couldn't stand the old baked potatoes. By the time the long wait was over for a extra rare steak, the steak was so over cooked, grizzly, gritty, not even seared. It was steamed not seared. Worst steak ever The service was good if you like loud.
Great selection of Southern food for a small town buffet. My kids loved the fish...it wasn't too greasy! There's a salad bar as well. The waitress even offered the kids fries since they were getting the buffet. Vanilla and strawberry ice cream cups were included for dessert . The service was perfect and the food was tasty. I did expect banana pudding or peach cobbler, but didn't need it so I'm not complaining since we are for less than $20.
First time eating here... It was ok... First time visiting the area and ate here with my husband who frequents this place. No complaints except the waitress could have been a little more friendly, and quicker on the drink refills.Food: 4/5
