We are the Oklahoma Mustang Club. We've been around since 1978. Promoting the Ford Mustang via car shows, autocross, drags, cruise ins, and track days.
The Oklahoma Mustang Club started meeting in early 1978 and was incorporated on January 3, 1985. We received our official charter into the Mustang Club of America on May 5, 1984. There have been a lot of changes over the years. We have seen the Mustang hobby go from a few people to the 300+ members our club now boasts. Our club's first car shows were nothing more than a few Mustang hobbyists getting together and showing off their cars. This has grown to the point where some of our members own eight Mustangs and some others only own some of the parts for a Mustang. But our common bond is the love of the FORD MUSTANG and the over forty years of pleasure it has brought its owners. Several of our members live in Mustang, Oklahoma (where Ford Motor Company unveiled the redesigned 1994 Mustang) Our club sponsors several car shows throughout the year. The club sponsors a local charity located in Norman, OK called A.B.L.E. (Able Bodies Learning to Excel).
The Oklahoma Mustang Club is a group of automotive enthusiasts, dedicated to the preservation, care, and enjoyment of the Ford Mustangs and Shelbys from 64 1/2 to the present day models. The Oklahoma Mustang Club is organized and managed by a board of directors and members from all over the state of Oklahoma, and beyond. The primary function of the Oklahoma Mustang Club is to provide owners Ford Mustang enthusiasts, a place to gather to enjoy the friendship of other Mustang enthusiasts, show their cars at local and national shows, participate in driving events together, cruise to different parts of the state, and learn all about their Mustang or other Mustangs that appeal to them, all within a family friendly environment. Mustang ownership is not a requirement for club membership.
